I feel for all you ladies that are at/past your due date. I have 4 weeks left and I’ve tried to keep the thought that I could really be pregnant LONGER than that out of my mind. Labor can come anytime though so don’t get too discouraged! Hoping your LO’s make their big debut soon!!!

anyone else doing red raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil and stuff like that? I’m eating dates everyday too. I have 3 weeks left (at least), but I am not above offering some encouragement.

Mermaid1082:  I’ve had the tea a few times in the last week, still sitting here waiting at 39+3!  I tried the dates but omg I could not handle how nasty they are, haha.  I’ve been doing a lot of bouncing on my exercise ball and went on a strenuous hike a few days ago, we will see!

Mermaid1082:  I did RRLT (1 mug) and 5 EPO pills everyday since approx 34 weeks with both DS and DD. I don’t know if either worked, but the membrane sweep definitely worked! I delivered the day after I had it done. I recommend it for anyone who really wants to get labour going, but it was quite painful for me.

awakemysoul:  Sweetness!! What a cutie. Our LOs have the same amount of hair. I have been thinking of you and hope your recovery has been getting a lot better.

I know most of you ladies have nurserys/cribs for your LO’s but I’m just wondering if you’ve heard of any issues of having them sleeping exclusively in a pack n play with a bassinet insert while they’re this little? We have no option for a crib while living with my parents, our goal is to be out of my parents house by the time she’s 6 months and we’ll get her a crib then. I’m just wondering because we put together the pack n play today and it has support rods for the bassinet insert and overall seems sturdy and safe but the actual pad is really hard. I couldn’t find too much on if it’s an actual issue or not and if we should look into something else than the pad.

Sunshine1011:  it was.  I had pre existing acid reflux, and even my prescription pills couldn’t control it.

little_d:  Thanks.  Recovery much better than delivery  I need to remember to take pain pills regularly.

Sunshine1011:  I think firmness is key.  Both the bassinets we have our firm. We haven’t put together pack and play so can’t compare.  Friends of ours did what you’re doing.

Midwife visit today. Baby has gained back some of what she lost in first 24hrs. My incision site is good.  Only major complaint at this point is the damn swelling in feet.

Went out to target briefly, good to walk around.

Anyone else with babies who are sleeping all the time? !? Midwife says a okay,  even when hard to wake her even to feed. Trying not to jinx myself … But really,  all the time.  How long can we expect it to continue ?

awakemysoul:  congrats on baby! My DD is 6 weeks on Thursday and still a great Sleeper! She probably sleeps 16+ hours a day. She’s more awake now then she was the first few weeks but she definitely loves her sleep! I try and take in and enjoy every day she sleeps tons just in case it chanhe’s one day lol. For now enjoy those wonderful baby snuggles and naps and get your own skeep in while baby sleeps!

I haven’t had a chance to read through the last few pages, but a quick update now that I’m home (will update more tomorrow). We had an emergency C section Friday morning and our baby girl Arya Fai was born, a healthy 7lbs 4 oz! the next day, less than 24 hrs after she was born she had an extreme case of jaundice.  She was admitted to NICU and we were discharged today, had to leave without her. Broken hearted. She has ABO blood incompatibility. She’s in serious but stable condition. Will post more details tomorrow when I have a chance.

irin997:  Oh, I’m not really working out much (for me)…it’s been about 2 days a week since 30 weeks (sometimes 1 or 0 haha).  But I’d like to walk more, it’s only finally starting to get nice out, of course tomorrow and wednesday it is supposed to rain…go figure.  Sorry you’re having so much prodromal labor!  That has to be frustrating for it to not go anywhere.  I haven’t had any really (no contractions, just cramps…some days) so I just feel like I’ll be pregnant forever or a switch will flip and all of a sudden I’ll have to go to the hospital.

little_d:  Just had a membrane sweep today at 8:45 since I am one day past my due date. My midwife told me to go home have sex and then just wait for contractions. She said I will definitely have contractions, but they are not guaranteed to turn into labor. How long after your sweep did you start to feel something? I have had cramps, but no real contractions yet.
