April bees can you believe how close we’re getting!? I thought I’d create a check-in where we can share what we’ve done recently and what’s next on our to do lists! I want to make sure I’m not missing anything!
-This week we sent out our invites, we’re having a destination wedding so we sent them a bit earlier than most. Getting RSVPs has been exciting.
-FI and I set up our alterations appointments (seperately)
-We went to look at wedding bands for Fiance and narrowed it down
-We ordered our favors
-We booked a violinist for the ceremony
This coming week I hope to buy.. FIs tie, shoes and wedding band. My earrings and hair flower.
What has everyone else been up to?

@Britt_RN: Ack! I can’t believe how close April is!
We’re having a destination wedding, too. I still need to : finish my pearl bouquet, pick fiance’s outfit, finalize reception decor, finish marriage license paperwork, pick a hairstyle, book flights for my Grandmas…I know there’s more there. I just need the clock to slow down just a teensy bit. Lol!

I know! Plus I also need to pick out makeup and make a decision on my sash and jewelry.
My Dad has yet to book his cruise or travel (he’s the only one of our approx 30 guests that hasn’t done anything yet). But that’s another story.

I am stressing out about the day of schedule. I don’t have a makeup artist yet and have no idea how long its going to take to do our makeup. My wedding is at 1230pm. I am aiming to be at the church an hour early. 1130. It’s about half an hour away. I have 6 bridesmaids and 2 moms (mine & his) that need hair & makeup done.
I think in order to cope with this, everyone is splitting and getting their hair done seperately. My appointment is at 7am! Not my ideal hour on the wedding day…
We are just about to mean with the venue/caterer to determine our actual meals. Everything else major, is honestly done. The fiance hasn’t gotten his tux yet but they are going next weekend and he is just renting. I felt like after Christmas was over, April became suddenly SO CLOSE.

So excited for April! ๐
This week I bought my veil and today I hand sewed lace trimming onto the edges. I also hand made my flower crown.
This week my Fiance and I have had fun finishing up our registry and having wedding showers :). So fun!

We sent out our invitations last week with an RSVP date of March 8 to give us plenty time to chase down stragglers or decide on anyone from the B list who can get bumped up.
We still need to organise/decide on:
Vows, readings and music for the ceremony.
First dance song as well as any other music we really want to hear.
Favours.
Marriage license paperwork.
Book trials for hair and make up.
Oh and I’m starting to panic that my dress hasn’t came in yet and the store can’t give me an exact date as to when it will be in!! :-//
Oh dear that seems like a lot!

I sent out the invitations
Finally got the bulk of the DIY centerpieces done
Bought one of the wedding bands and finally decided on the other(it will be purchased next week).
Made the stands and displays for the candy bar.
I am finishing up the rest of the stationary(signs, menus etc)
And I have a meeting with the venue coordinator in a few days to nail down the layout and setup of everything for day of.
I can’t believe we only have 98 days left….what happened to all the time?!

Its going by SO FAST! Things still to do:
- Get RSVPs back. Make seating chart and send calligrapher escort cards
- Have final meeting with vendors at 1-month mark. Get license.
- Confirm new trolley- late last week, my company realized they double-booked the trolley I reserved and didn’t have anything for me. Thank goodness the city has 2 trolley companies!
- Find the groom a suit! We shopped this weekend and came up empty. I’m getting antsy about this one.
- Buy MOH’s dress. She is so indecisive!
- Break in shoes
- Do the 30-day shred before my next fitting
- Print out escort cards, signs, menus, programs
- Assemble Out of Town bags (do this on the week-of)
- Pay final vendor payments

I need to get with the officiant and plan out our ceremony and get with my wedding planner and finalize contracts with vendors and STILL find a florist and caterer ๐ I also need to finalize FI’s ring I’m getting for him. This week I plan on addressing and assembling the invitations, then this weekend I will start and finish the direction cards. Next week (the last week of January) I will be sending out the invitations. I have SO MUCH work to do!

3 months from today for me! EEEE!!!! It’s exciting!
I still need to:
Have my hair and make up trials (already scheduled)
Address and mail invitations (already purchased them)
Find groom’s attire
Have my dress fitting (scheduled)
Arrange day of transportation (no clue)
Finish my DIY projects (Centerpieces and bouquet)
>>Sure hope I’m not missing something!!! We have the photographer, the cake, the caterer, the band, the officiant, and the day-of coordinator.
