Did you pull any April Fools pranks or have any good ones played on you???
Last year, I texted my mom a picture of a friends engagement ring pic that said YAY! with it… she was in a meeting at the time, walked out of the meeting & called me. She said “Are you serious?” She was in complete shock & obviously thinking it was way too soon & he hadn’t asked their permission but was trying to be happy for me. Later she said that the first thing that came to mind was “Noon on a Friday, what an unromatic time of the day!?” she’s a riot! 🙂
So naturally this year… “We’re expecting!” 🙂 She did not find it humorous at all to get a picture of a positive pregnancy test (Irish Catholic family & our wedding isn’t until July). I sent it before I went to church & when I came out, I had 2 voicemails & a lot of missed calls from her. She realized it was April Fools after a while & was not amused. Future Mother-In-Law & Future Sister-In-Law were opposite, they were SOOO excited! & His mom thought it was hysterical when Fiance told her April Fools, she already planned the baby shower in her head the second she got the picture message.
I love April Fools! 🙂

@dfontaine07: haha I just texted a picture of 5 positive pregnancy tests to my dad and brother saying “I think we need to move the wedding up…” but that’s not the first time I’ve done it, so they’ll probably know it’s an april fools =P
yup, just got a text back from my brother saying “haha april fools” I think I need some new tricks!

A friend posted LEGIT engagement pictures….with a ring and EVERYTHING… and then said April Fool’s. Quite elaborate!!! lol

@nikole.powell.np: Wow that is pretty elaborate, the most I’ve seen is relationship status changes on Facebook and pictures of a ring on a finger. That sounds awesome, I wish I would have thought of something like that before.
FI’s friend hurt his finger at work a few weeks ago and went to the doctors for it recently, today he posted it’s infected and may have to have half his thumb amputated. I felt bad for him and told him how my dad only had half a thumbn from some drunken water skiing experience and Fiance kept me going how it was true and everything. His friend finally admitted it was only broken, but he got me. I’m so gullible but I love today, good day to fill people with laughter.

@future_schu: I saw one picture someone posted on Facebook today, it was a Clearblue one that has words on it but instead of saying pregnant or not pregnant… it said Just Kidding. lol

One year, as a group, we convinced a friend that I was pregnant. We were just dating then (I was like right out of high school) and it was hysterical. He was ready to buy us baby clothes and everything.
The next year, we got fake married and eloped. We even went down to Gatlinburg, got fake rings, had a story, took bunches of pictures, everything. We had people freaking out. Naturally we told our families that we were playing a prank, but it was pretty fun to watch all of them try to muster up a congrats on Facebook lol. When we actually did get engaged, I posted a pic of my ring and said “it’s not april!”
We didn’t do anything this year though :/

Father-In-Law today decided to put his FB status as “SO excited to be grandparents! We just wouldn’t have exspected both DILs to be exspecting at the same time!” Best part? Neither of us are and Father-In-Law didn’t say anything to us before he did it! Luckily Darling Husband saw it and texted my parents to make sure they knew it was a joke, not that we didn’t tell them, especially since we are much closer to my parents than his.

@eliwhit: That is too funny. My family would have fallen for that since my cousin acutally did that when she eloped without letting anyone know except for postcards we received while they were still on vacation.
@chasesgirl: I love that he didn’t tell ya’ll. My dad would have probably done something like that. But Fiance wouldn’t have texted anyone saying it was a joke.
After I got my mom with mine today, I went back to a voicemail I had from my dad after my engagement prank last year saying that it was so funny & that I got my mom good! I know he would have loved today’s prank, but it makes me thankful I have that voicemail because I could imagine him laughing hysterical at my mom freaking out thinking I was pregnant and unmarried. He always had the best pranks, and hearing about the elaborate ones you guys have done inspires me for next year. lol

@chasesgirl: That’s great! I love when people from our parent’ generation participate… So funny 🙂

(I just posted this in the other April Fools thread)
I tried on a giant, poofy dress a few days ago at David’s Bridal that wound up looking absolutely horrible on me. I’m sure it’s a gorgeous dress on other girls, but on me, it looked seriously atrocious. Anyway, this morning, I texted my mom a picture of me in it and said, “Mom I bought my wedding dress today!”
She texted back “OMG it’s BEAUTIFUL!”
I replied, “April Fools!”
She replied, “Oh, THANK GOD!”

A friend just posted on FB – last year, she went into Motherhood Maternity, put on a baby belly, and sent some pics to her mom.
