hey everyone! Rooting for you this month! I don’t get to do anything :/

Your age/partner’s age: 38/48

 Baby #: 2 – our son is 2.5

Cycles TTC:  oh jeez, well we started trying for this one in July 2019 with a miscarriage in September 2019. Nothing since.

Known fertility issues: PCOS and some sperm issues

Previous fertility treatment?: TI, IUI, and now 3 egg retrievals, an ERA, and one failed FET (January)

What are you doing this month (transfer, beta, IUI, retrieval)?: Nothing… ugh. Late March through early May is my busiest work season (wildlife biology), and I have to travel or be ready to travel basically any time. I can’t ask for the time off for doctor appointments and FET… it would totally throw our whole company out of whack. Ugh. So I have to wait til May to start I think. It sucks so much. I never thought when we did our first egg retrieval in August that I still wouldn’t be pregnant for the next field season!!

Key dates (POAS, beta, transfer): Blah

Just for fun: What’s everyone’s favorite dessert? I’m an equal opportunity sweets lover! Berry pie with ice cream or a brownie sundae would top my list right now.

So I just heard back that of our two embryo’s sent for testing (from the 4 retrieved, and the 2 that matured) that 1 is normal.  I’m relieved that we do have 1 normal and 1 chance, and I have a follow-up appointment with my doctor next Friday to discuss next steps.  I already spoke to my husband and we know that not every FET is successful, so we are prepared to do one more cycle – which I pretty sure is what our doctor is going to recommend anyway.

The only thing to be determined is what to do about my fibroids, as she said my egg retrieval was extremely difficult because she had to pierce through them to get to my ovaries.  Fingers crossed for everyone this month!
