yellow7404:  Im sorry.  If it makes you feel any better, you’re not alone.  I got 3 bfp’s this week (on the lighter side, but certainly not squinters).  AF was due Monday, never came,so I spent all week thinking I was pregnant.  Then yesterday morning I got up very early with cramps, and sure enough, I had my period.  I even took another FRER to confirm, and it was a BFN.  It sucks so much that I don’t even think I want to try again for a couple more months.

determinedtobee:  Oh my God, I’m so sorry! That really sucks. Look after yourself. A chemical can really affect you emotionally. xxx

AF showed last night, so I’m a rollout.  We’re planning to TTC in August and I really hope you are all on the pregnancy month boards when I come back πŸ™‚  Thanks for the amazing support and lots of baby dust everyone!

phoebephoebo:  Thanks for your support! It means a lot.  Even though I woke up feeling better today, yesterday really sucked, and I don’t want to go through that again in a month, so at this point, I don’t think we’ll be TTC for another couple months.  I’m trying to take your glass half-full approach, and am thinking of how much better prepared I’ll be next time.

phoebephoebo: said a chemical can be emotional I think that’s one reason why I don’t like to test until I know AF’s arrival is more out of the question. Keep your chin up and the hope there between you.

can I jump in here?

Cycle day: AF was due yesterday, so I’m on day 30 now

O date: around 3/21 or 3/22, but I wasn’t going to chart till next cycle…oops

POAS date/cycle length: yesterday  28 day cycle

Cycles trying: first-iud came out toward the end of last cycle, had AF, and here we are…

This month: I’m taking a cake decorating class, just one of those Wilton’s, but yay! Love to bake, mouth my decorating skills are…lumpy.

fav movie: gosh…The big lebowski?

so I’ve been having off and on stuff that could have been other things-mild headaches, some tenderness in the girls off and on, gas (tmi sorry) And I got a negative on 3/31, so figured that was that since it was our first month…but then the cramping started (again, off and on) With the teeniest spotting for 12 hours only when i wiped about 4 days before the deadline. When AF didn’t show and the vein roadmap showed up, I checked again 4/5 in the pm while hubs was out and got a BFP!

I wanted to jump in if I can because I was watching these myself, and totally symptom spotting πŸ˜‰ also, wanted to let the older mums to be know those BFPs are out there for us-I’m 34 and this is my first, and since I’d like to have more than 1 I’ve been freaking a bit that I may have waited too long, it’s a relief to me when I see other moms of “advanced maternal age” (horrible term!) hitting the pee jackpot, so I wanted to do the same. πŸ™‚

Frohike:  So many similairities here!  I’m 33 and we just started trying for our first. Nice to know that it’s not impossible. I’m currently on CD 34 ( what I would consider 2 days late), but no sign of AF. Took a test yesterday and it was negative. I’m still crossing my fingers!  Anyway, big congrats on your BFP! πŸ™‚

I also took the Wilton courses last year. They’re great and I had a blast. My cake decorating skills are still improving, but it was tons of fun. Hope you enjoy it as well!

Frohike:  I’m 35 and I’m convinced at this age that it doesn’t affect your chances of getting a bfp. I have seen over half of mu friend and family of similar get their bfp within a month. I think it’s more to do with your fertility. I’m convinced I’ve subfertility after TTC for 12 cycles. Anyway, congrats on getting your bfp. I’m delighted to see you getting it so quickly. At our age we just want to get things going already!! H&H 9 months!!!

Frohike:  I know it will but it seems it takes me more time. I’m always delighted for others at this age to get their bfp because it’s a little more stressful for us! Look after yourself during this exciting time!!!

Btw, booked my trip to New York!! So excited. A bit nervous because we’re going in 6 days and all we’ve booked is flights!!! If anyone has any recommendations of things to do they’d be gladly accepted! I was there in 2000 so have done all the standard touristy stuff.

determinedtobee:  I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I’ve gone thru 4 chemicals in the past 8 cycles, and it was so painful to go through it every time. Please take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon ((hugs))
