Roll Call!!

Current Cycle Day: CD2

Ovulation Date: CD13-14

POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: 19th April. After AF is due. I’ll try get on and update here while I’m away πŸ™‚

Cycles trying: #2

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc): no real timing plans, we’re travelling around for a month and if my dates are right – short of an airport BD – we’ll miss the “best times”. I’ll keep fingers crossed that something will line up πŸ™‚ hey with travelling my cycle could jump about anyway and we could get lucky πŸ™‚

Link to Chart, if any: none, I’ll possibly start temping etc around cycle #6 – hoping we’ll be successful with just using my saliva ov kit.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?: A primary school teacher from age of 8 – I ended up doing it too. About 16-17 I changed and wanted to be a Forensic Psychologist but I think I’m glad my childhood dream won out in the end hehe

I must admit I am a little scared of “trying” this month because I am not sure if I would like a Xmas baby BUT we spoke about it and realised we could get pregnant in say 2 months and have a premie born at Xmas anyway. Still does concern me – thou unfortunately I’m starting to realise more and more pregnancy is out of my control *sigh* so no point in skipping months just to try and control something that isn’t controllable πŸ™‚

Here’s a question for your ladies after you’re done the BD do you lay down, prop up your butt on a pillow? I think maybe last month (our first month TTC) I would just jump out of bed like normal and go pee -have an issue with UTI if I don’t- thinking maybe this month I should try letting everything…. Marinate? Hahaha sorry horrible example but only thing I could think of πŸ™‚

Yay for April! I’m hoping my cycle cooperates and that i get a chance to poas in April!

Roll Call!

Current cycle day: 11

Ovulation date: TBD but likely somewhere between april 2-12, based on the last two cycles…not very specific, i know!

POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: couldnt even guess until I have some sign of O. My luteal phase is 12 days though. First cycle was 31 days, second was 41.

Cycles trying: this is #3

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): we aim to BD every day all month. I’ll use opks again this month and track cm, not going to start temping yet. My doc said to “just have fun” the next two months, so that’s the plan!

Link to chart, if any: no chart for me!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? a lawyer! Wild dreams, i know!!!

@MrsHoneyC:  the risk of a uti completely outweighs any possible benefit for me! If i get a uti, we cant bd for a while, and that would defeat the purpose! Plus, ive read it doesnt matter because the strongest swimmers make their way there first πŸ™‚

@MrsHoneyC:  I do sit in bed for about 10 minute. I’ve noticed the quality of what I eject afterwards is clearer/more watery than when I go straight to the bathroom. Granted, I’ve never gone straight to the bathroom durring a fertile day so maybe it has more to do with the open cervix than the laying around. I’ll have to try both.

@bananasareyellow:, but an article I read said that it doesn’t hurt to do it because it helps prevent the semen from escaping the vagina and it allows for as many sperm as you can get to have a fighting chance. I totally do it.

@As_You_Wish:  I’m so sorry for your chemical pregnancy.

@MrsHoneyC:  I will be keeping my legs up after BD, I never heard that it doesn’t matter. We recently saw “The Great Sperm Race”, anything I can do to help seems worthwhile to me. Though Esqbee has a great point if you are prone to UTIs.

@esqbee:  I was thinking about you last week, I got picked for jury duty! It was a crazy first degree murder case (Chicago gang related). Such an eye opening experience.

@esqbee:  I had those same dreams! People used to chuckle when a little six-year-old me would announce that I was going to go to Yale become a lawyer argue cases in front of the Supreme Court and then become Secretary of State. I was very precocious. Best of luck this cycle, not knowing when you are going to O must be frustrating, FX for you!

@KH:  oh wow! Ha, isnt it crazy?! I hate that you have to give all this personal info with the defendant in the room…i dont want him knowing my name and where i live, haha!

@doily:  ha, you were so aspirational!! My parents just nodded and smiled, like “sure honey, you can do whatever you want” but i think they were pretty surprised when the drive never went away and i became a lawyer after all!  And FX for you as well!! Not knowing what my cycle is going to be like is tough, but as long as we can keep up with the BDing consistently, i figure we’ve got a shot (assuming i actually am Oing). Good luck with temping!!

@esqbee:  You are exactly right! Good thing the judge mispronounced my name pretty badly, and I live and work in a densly populated area, so stating my neighborhood doesn’t give away too much information. But it was very intimidating to see him staring at us and taking notes.

It also didn’t help that people in the gallery were verbally fighting with one another so we had to keep pausing the trial. And every evening, police officers had to escort us from the jury room directly to our cars. Definitely an experience I don’t wish to have again, though it does give perspective to the evening news of gang related shootings.
