I love the the aquamarine, but how sturdy is it over time?  I’d worry it wouldn’t hold up.

Of these two, I prefer the aquamarine, but like PP I wonder how it will hold up. The setting seems to be more secure and like it will not get damaged easily, where as the quartz is big and looks like it will get knocked easier, and may scratch/chip easier. The quartz also reads as a cocktail ring to me. However, my favorite ring was the grey moissy you originally posted. It’s plenty hard and its just as pretty! Another option is to look at sapphires. They come in a variety of colors and they are super hard. There are a lot of jewelers that work with them. The one that I have is an ice blue or montana blue and its basically a cross between your grey moissy and the aquamarine. It photographs more aqua, but has a grey, smoky undertone IRL. You can also get them in a brownish/yellow that will read more as the quartz.  Good luck! Just make sure you get something you feel comfortable wearing forever!

Aquamarine for sure. I will assume you’ve already done your research and have decided that, even though it’s not as hard as other stones, it’s the one you want and that’s fine. I don’t have a hard stone either but I love it all the same and I picked it regardless, and it’s held up very well.

I like both styles, but if it were my e-ring I’d want a harder stone like a sapphire, or black or brown diamond. Just because that’s a lot of money to spend on something that you might have to replace down the road, the aquamarine one in particular is not cheap (at least not to me lol). Sapphires come in all colors and they are fairly reasonably priced and should last a lifetime.

I messaged you but figure I comment as well, I saw the other post regarding the grey moissanite and what about this from moissanite Co? The cost is $1,190

The setting on that aquamarine is beautiful. As PPs have stated, I’d worry about every day wear–as long as you are okay with replacing the stone at some point you should be fine.

PPs grey MoCo ring is pretty–there have been a lot of recent posts from Bees having issues with MoCo, just be careful if you go that route.

Aquamarine is lovely but as slomo said, soft. Dust contains quartz particles (Mohs 7) and even wiping dust from a ring of similar hardness will scratch the gem over time.

Of the two I still prefer the aquamarine. Have you considered sapphire (Mohs 9)?

Heaven :  I follow moissaniteco on Instagram and came across that video and immediately thought of your previous post! You should totally contact them about this ring and choose what metal type you would like! This ring seems like it’s a better choice for something that will last!
