Heaven :  I agree, seeing things on your finger changes everything. Are there jewelers in your area who can make a custom ring for you?

Heaven :  I chose the aqua. I think with the smoky quartz it’s a dark halo on a dark stone so it doesnt accent the center as much as I believe a diamond or clear halo would. I also love the unique setting of the aqua.

Heaven :  the aqua is super beautiful and I think the finger coverage is fine. That being said, aqua’s are a lilttle soft, have you looked into an ice blue sapphire? I also would question the price a little bit – aqua’s shouldn’t be a super expensive stone, if you shop around a bit you might get a better deal (or take pictures of that one to a different jewler who could make a similar ring?)

Since  said in you last post that money is no object why not get the aqua and have a ceylon sapphire set in it?

Heaven :  If you search my history you can see a bunch more pics of my ring. I am a bit obsessed with it so I post it a lot! My husband’s ring is a cobalt ring with pineapple wood in it. He picked it out of a catalogue at the jewelers. He got in 2 and picked this one. I love aquamarines, and originally thats what I wanted to go with, but with it being softer and me not being very careful with anything, I decieded on a sapphire instead. Once I saw the ice blue ones, I was hooked! I also really liked the teal ones, but I prefer a lighter stone for every day.

We put my ring together a little differently than others. I showed some pics to the jeweler, and he actually got the stone in first (took 4-5 tries to get the right color, there are a lot of variations of blue out there) then he got in the shank. I actually tried on the shank and he held the stone over it, so I could really see it on my hand! I had a white gold shank picked out and a rose gold, but once we held the stone over the rose gold one, it was no contest, it looked so much better. I guess my husband got the CADs before it was made, but I never saw them, as there were two stones and he wanted the one he picked to be a surprise. So see if you can go to a local jeweler that will do something similar. Try on the shank and see what you like, then hold a stone over it. That will give you a good enough idea of what looks good and the finger coverage!

Heaven :  I love the aqua as an ering and I would rock that quartz as a RHR. Get what you love and don’t let anyone persuade your decision. Best of luck Bee. I hope you find the perfect ring
