Hello Bees! This is my first post and I have something of a dilemma. I have a beautiful aqua e-ring that my fiance designed and I love it so much!
However, it’s a low halo with small diamonds on all sides of the basket.
So I am wondering what to do about a wedding band. I have always imagined double bands, but they wont be able to sit flush, and I dont want to lose the shape of the halo by flattening it out with bands that have to sit near the top of the basket. Also, I dont want to risk the bands rubbing against the small side diamonds which would most likely make them fall out.
Anyone have thoughts on what to do? I have been all over this site looking for the answer and it doesnt seem like there are a lot of boards dedicated to solving the problem of bands against side diamonds. Here are my solution ideas so far:
1. solder a band to the ring that has an open section, so it is more like a horseshoe than a full circle wedding band, if that makes sense.
2. get an infinity twist band where the halo could sort of sit down into the dips, possibly soldered together if needed
3. get a straight band and solder it to the halo leaving a gap, even though I’m not crazy about a big gap.
Please help me decide!! Thanks Bees!
