I have an aqua as my ering. Im a waitress and it actually holds up pretty well. It does get dirty easily but Its so easy for me to clean, i just put in warm soapy water while I do my makeup, then rinse it and its done. I havent had any scratches yet and im pretty clumsy. Alot of people warned me about Aquas, but I do not regret it at all. Sorry if the image is to big but Heres Mine: IMG_0350

aquabee:  That is GORGEOUS! I’m getting an aquamarine halo soon, too, and I can’t wait. Where did you have your ring made, if I may ask?

I LOVE the aquamarine, however I would never choose it for an engagement ring.  Aquamarine is too soft for everyday wear- especially if it is a heirloom I would hate for it to get ruined!!  My jewelers wouldn’t even give a waranty on any stone other than diamonds, emeralds, rubys, and sapphires and most jewelers are the same- the others are too soft are bound to chip or scratch.

I also agree that the current setting is also super gorgeous and looks like it could hold a lot of value- I wouldn’t remove the stones.

chelseaadarlingg:  initially I was thinking heirloom, but then I remembered only a couple of months ago my friend slammed the car door on my hand, total accident on my friends behalf, the outcome one small diamond popped out, broke a couple of prongs and bent my centre prong, thankfully my centre diamond was not damaged, think carefully, if it’s gets damaged can you live with that easily.  Me, yes I would be able to get over it, jewellery is to be worn and enjoyed, I wear my mums watch ever day, loads of my friends said they couldn’t bear to, in case anything happened to it.   Decide which kind of bee you are and then enjoy your ring whatever your decision.  Can’t wait to see the photos, of your up coming engagement.
