@Pang27:  I have never had a problem with my aqua (I never ever take it off) but it is in quite a low setting which helps protect it.

I wouldn’t mind an aquamarine pendant as my ‘something blue’. Any ideas where to buy aquamarine jewellery from?

@Pang27:  I would avoid that type of setting unless you have a protection policy on it. Pave can be iffy and you can lose diamonds. This setting is extremely delicate.

I chose an aqua for my grandmother because we were very close and she passed away soon after Fiance and I started dating. I also just happen to love the color! It does get cloudy but I dont mind cleaning it at home, and my jeweler is right down the street from my office so I can have it professionally cleaned really any time (but mostly I just do it for nice occasions). I love my aqua and I encourage you to go for it!

Here is mine. It was given to my grandma as a wedding gift from her brother, and since I was her only grand-daughter and we both are March birthdays she passed this along to me. She was my best friend and I miss her very much. I never take this ring off. You can see it’s a bit beat up, but I have never had it professionally cleaned. Pick what you love, don’t worry about our opinions!
