As a former Etsy seller, I’d prefer that folks not buy from those they know are resellers.

Unfortunately, all of the bridal jewelry sellers I know are in the US or Mexico.

ETA: if you have a feeling it’s not actually based in the UK, it probably isn’t. I wouldn’t risk it.

To be honest, if the place I was looking at was making false claims to begin with, such as claiming something was handmade when it clearly wasn’t, I would keep on looking. I’ve noticed a lot of etsy shops claim to be in America or Europe, when in actuality they are located in Asia. I ordered something once from a jewelry page on etsy (now actually shut down, though I was extremely happy with the product). Anyway, this page claimed to be in the US, somewhere like Michigan or something, and when they shipped it with tracking, I noticed it was shipped from China. When I asked about it, they said that everything ships from their warehouse in China. I don’t buy it for one second, and I’m sure they were just located in China and trying to suck more people in by saying they were in the US. I don’t do shady… I would look elsewhere.

Yes, you have to be very careful, as there are a lot of Etsy sellers who profess to be sellers of genuine handmade items, but they are just resellers.  As you say, probably best to stick with a UK seller.
