i am getting married on a beach and will have an arch in place on the sand, provided by the resort. i wouldn’t be sure how to go about making it myself. but i am sure that is something you can google.  here is what i want mine to look like.  maybe something along those lines would work for a deck too?

Here’s the arch from my sister’s backyard wedding (bought at Michael’s for $30 including the twinkle lights, then decorated with silk florals and tulle)

You should check this website though since you’re doing it on a deck. You might not need to necessarily do an arch; you can DIY some flower strands along the background:
