Hi Toronto Bees
I’m wondering if any of you have ever been to an event at Archeo restaurant in the Distillery. I think for events it is catered by Stonehouse Catering (although the restaurant makes its own food on a non-event basis).
What were your thoughts on the food and serving sizes?
Fiance and I are going to grab a meal there this weekend to try it out ourselves, but I know the situation is different in some places for restaurant vs event. I am mainly concerned that the food is good quality and tasty. Fiance is also concerned about serving size (his European family can eat a lot).
Any reviews would be awesome!

My husbands sister got married there and the food was amazing. Send me a private message if you want more details!

@pixiefatale: I’m having my reception at Archeo on Aug 11th, 2013. I’m a little anxious as EVERYONE in my family have done the banquet hall thing for their receptions. I would also love to hear from the Toronto Bees out there! Has anyone had or been to a wedding at Archeo?
Pixifatale…..did you end up booking Archeo?

@Maria444: Actually we didn’t end up booking Archeo because of the rules around open bar (like no shots, and they wouldn’t include brandy) and because we really liked the service offered at the Rosewater so we went with them. Good luck though – such a beautiful venue!

@pixiefatale: No shots? That’s a little odd that they would tell you that. I just spoke to the events manager this past Monday and she told me that they did allow shots. Hmm….maybe I should check again with her?

I held an event at Archeo last year and I was very impressed by the food and service in general. I plan seveal functions a year and I have to say it was one of the better ones. There was plenty of food so I wouldn’t worry about portions.
My guests loved it and I heard several great comments about the food and service from them. Good luck!
