@csgruver:  Thank you!! Yes it will definitely look similar, but your diamond is bigger! Lucky ๐Ÿ˜‰ I know many ladies like the symmetry of having two bands but the thicker the band(s) and it might overwhelm your stone. I personally like my stone to look as big as it can (that’s why I just had it reset — old setting had two 15 pointers on each side!– and now the band is smaller and my stone looks larger!!!). I am sure whatever you choose will look lovely and I can’t wait to see pictures!!

My engagement ring is 1ct and my wedding band is .80 cts (10 x .08ct diamonds). I definetly don’t think that my wedding band is too clunky with my engagment ring.

Good Luck!

I think that size is nice, though maybe a bit much if you go for 2 bands.  1 band would look lovely, though.

@csgruver:  If you really want two bands then I personally like the second photo you posted – the one with the band with the 0.03ct diamonds in it.  I think the thinner bands do a better job of highlighting your solitaire.

I really like care06’s set.  Beautiful without being overdone.  So if you would prefer one band I would go with the bigger diamond band.

@csgruver:  Hi! Thanks so much ๐Ÿ™‚ My finger is a 3.75, so smaller cts tend to look a bit larger. I really like the bigger band in your last photo (top one)! it looks amazing with your ring. I tired on lots of different bands, some 5 stones, some 7 stones, but I found it was really hard to find one that had a good balance with my engagement ring. The 5 stones I tried on that had larger diamonds seemed to ‘compete’ with my solitaire, which I didn’t want. I did, however, want a ring that was substantial enough to wear on it’s own, yet looked good with my solitaire. I think finding that balance is key ๐Ÿ™‚

I think that if you want to do 2 bands, both the ones in your photo would look great, but I probably wouldn’t go much larger. Nothing should take away from your beautiful solitaire!
