We were…..but after a long time, waiting became very difficult and frustrating ;-P

What happened was, my friend from High school passed away in a car accident with her fiance’ in the car. He survived with neck injuries, but she didn’t. He took off her ring and put it on his finger while they were waiting for help..he knew. ;(

It was shocking, unexpected and devastating, as she was only 19. After that happened, we both realized that at any moment we could not be here any longer and we both wanted to experience it together because we were both ready! We told each other, we want to live life to the FULLEST and supressing our emotions for each other wasn’t ideal for us any longer. Moral of the story, we are very happy with our decision to live life to the absolutely fullest.

@AB Bride Not really religious reasons it is just what we both feel is right.

We most definitely did not wait–we do not prescribe to anyone religious philosophy and the ones we do follow (I’m jewish, she’s wiccan) do not condemn pre-marital relations.

@SurferB: I understand that! Tragic events like that make you realize how valuable life truly is and makes you want to experience every possible thing that you can!

Got to say that we did not wait either…couldn’t handle the anticipation of what it was going to be like!

My fiancee and I are waiting til we get married to go all the way, but aside from that we’re pretty active. It’s kinda cliche but we both want it to be really special and not something that we randomly decide to do one night. I’ve been sexually assaulted more than once and my “first time” wasn’t something that was willing, so my first willing time (which as far as I consider is going to be my real first time) I want to be really ready for.
