Hi! So I am trying to narrow down my song choices for walking down the aisle. We are getting married on a boat and it’s a non-religious ceremony. I’m thinking of using something from Sleeping At Last, or Gone Gone Gone by Phillip Phillips- something along those lines.
Anyone else using non-traditional songs? Tell me!:)
My favorite movie is Dances With Wolves. As a child, I played the score on my violin and wad always reduced to tears. Thus, I am playing the love theme to Dance with Wolves when I walk down the aisle, or in my case, walk down the bridge! 🙂
I’m walking down to Flightless Bird American Mouth by Iron & Wine. I know it’s from Twilight and I am not a fan, but the song has significance to our relationship, so I’m using it! We are having a string trio play it, so no words, just music, which I think will be lovely. I LOVE Gone Gone Gone and am considering having it sung by my brother at some point, either during the ceremony or at the reception.
maritimebride2016 : I haven’t chosen mine but I know it’ll be non traditional. I might let my Fiance pick his favorite song that makes him think of me which would probably either be Brad Paisleys she’s everything or perfect storm.
I walked down the aisle to the instrumental version of “Edelweiss” from the Sound of Music. Favorite movie, beautiful song, happy wife lol. We had the Lord of the Rings soundtrack playing while people were being seated, and we walked out to Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News. Nothing traditional for us 😂
