@stargal34:  My husband is a day care licensor and he says that no bumpers are safe. No personal experience (no kids yet, but Darling Husband wouldn’t let me do anything against regs anyway), but officially according to regulations, nope.

Here you are given VERY strict warnings about all bumpers, no matter the material. Regardless if they are breatheable or not, they can still find a part to suffocate. Really, they aren’t that necessary.

Hi dear, i also was confused and my midwife said no bumpers and all that when i was pregnant last yr ( 1st baby)…i still decorated my baby’s crib with those breathable ones and is fine, i did put on the two shorter sides on the crib and the long one on the back but in the front i didnt just so i can look while i was in my bed….so i say is fine, you can do itlike me…lol now my baby is 7 months old and her feet go through the rails since she moves and rolls a lot sometimes i wished i would’ve placed all the bumpers through out the whole crib but i still have the front of the crib open to take a look at her now and then…so i say dont go crazy over it, i read online and it says not to, but really we always pay more attention to the negatives than positives for no reason…good luck hunn i say is fine.
