Supposed to have a different theme than your wedding?? Our wedding colors are tiffany & chocolate, and I’m pretty sure (no one will tell me the specifics) my bridal shower is going to be done in those colors as well. Is that “normal”? I love animal print, and I wish I would’ve said something about it sooner :-/

While I didn’t plan it this way, my Future Mother-In-Law is doing the decorating for the shower and she is using the same colors (teal and pink,) as the wedding. I think it’s common enough, but I don’t think there is a hard and fast rule for this! If you really would like something else tell the person that’s planning, most anything can be returned for something you like better! Good luck,

i’ve been to a shower that did have the same theme, but i don’t think you need to do that. mine didn’t. it actually didn’t have much of a theme.

If they’ve already done a lot of planning, I wouldn’t ask them to change the colors of your bridal shower decorations.

I think they can be either. Sometimes people go with whatever color of your wedding other times they just do something they think is pretty!

There’s no hard and fast rule. My bridal shower was green and someone asked me if that was also the wedding color…. Usually the hosts try to pick colors the bride likes (or colors they think are pretty) – which is probably why they are carrying your color theme to the shower.

That is up to your bridesmaids (who do 100% of the planning) to decide. The only say that the bride has is her intended guest list. They can have the same theme and colors but they don’t always.
