I havent been to one yet. But one of my best friends went to one and she won makeovers for her and her bridesmaids and a DJ, so I’d say they’re worth it!

I went to one small one and it was not worth it!

basically they are just a bunch of vendors trying to sell their things.  Anything that is remotely related to a wedding is there.  I didnt find any great ideas or anything… ya you can win prizes and stuff.  It wouldnt hurt to go though, theyre just not THAT great

I went to 3 of them and I thought it was worth it. I got some vendor contacts and was able to see their work in person which was nice. We also got an amazing deal on Chiavari chairs and glass charger plates due to a promotion they had at the show. It definitely was worth it for us.

I go all the time! I’m still semi-waiting and FH and I have gone to a few. They are great to find out what is out there and get your gears turning, and you enter so many draws can win useful stuff. It really can’t hurt to go and it’s all for you! everyone is vying for your business so they are offering discounts where ever they can. Just be prepared for a bunch of emails from vendors that you may not have even visited there. they seem to pass around your email address, but its a small price to pay bc you end up getting more info and deals. I say go to everyone you can and enter everything. Oh and bring a reuseable bag bc you end up with tons of info booklets and some booths have bags but they get really heavy

@chrissyb464:  Some are some aren’t. You should find out whether there are any good giveaways happening before you go to one. I went to a bridal show that gifted a ton of awesome gifts some stuff among which included a $400 gift certificate towards a wedding gown @ Kleinfeld and a $200 gift cert towards a tux in their tuxedo dept. So yes some are worth it.

@chrissyb464:  i do not think so at all! we went to a pretty big one, did not find any vendors at it. i felt like the vendors were either rude because they were dealing with so many people, or too busy trying to sell their service. We did not win anything, but then again i NEVER win anything. I feel like it was just a waste of money & time.

maybe if you have a specific vendor you are looking for like a photographer it may be nice to see some work in person from a few different ones in one day then split it up from weekend to weekend. but i’d say not worth it

They’re good if you totally don’t know where to start with your wedding planning! I went to one and I had already been planning my wedding for a few months so it wasn’t really much use yo me and they are pretty boring too!! Though you can pick up some discounts on the day if you book with some of the vendors.

I’ve been to one and that will be my first and last. It was a bunch of vendors wanting your information so that they can pester you with phone calls and emails.  I came home with lot’s of new material for our recycling bin, a worthless oven mitt and no ideas applicable to our wedding. It’s better use of your time to go and get a nice wedding magazine and flip through it!

Totally not worth it and it really stressed me out.  I didn’t find a single vendor there and it’s so slammed packed that you have to FIGHT to talk to anyone.

And yah, I’ve been married 1.5 years and I STILL get email crap from that show.  When you buy the ticket your account/address/email goes into a huge file for vendors and they overload you forever.  It’s soooo annoying.

I’ve gone to one. Supposedly the biggest one in Phx and it was boring. It was cheaply put together and honestly looked like a science fair lol. I didn’t get much info just a bunch of “you won this but come to the time share presentation to win” phone calls. None now. I imagined it to be so much fun and big. It was a let down :/  Maybe the ones in your area are better! I did have some delicious cake though. That’s it.

@eocenia:  +1. We went to a bridal show that was being held at a venue we were considering. The only useful thing we got out of it was deciding we didn’t want to use the venue. I still get spam from the vendors.

I went to the big one they have in Columbus every year.  I already had all of my vendors picked out so I pretty much went to people watch and eat cake.  Oh my goodness, I ate so many freaking cake samples that day!  It was fun though.  The DJs were insanely cheesy and lame with their little stations set up.  I got a good laugh.  And i got to watch a fashion show at the end of the day, so that was fun!

@chrissyb464:  I’ve been to one i don’t think it is worth the time it is nice to see all of the stuff but in reality if you know what you want it is unecessary waste of time that you could be spending on makind centerpieces (ugh what im doing now) lol

I went to a big one shortly after I was engaged.. I didn’t really plan to book anything while I was there, it was more just for the experience of going. It was fun & exciting to be around all those other girls getting married & to dream about what your wedding could be like. I “won” 50% off a photography package, although we didn’t end up going with them.. but I did find another photographer there that we ended up going with and I found the salon we’re getting our hair done at. So I did find it helpful, and it was exciting as a new bride-to-be, I say go and just enjoy everything!
