Hello Lovely Bees,
I am new to the site and this is my first post. I’m having my dress custom made and I am absolutely IN LOVE with the bustier top wedding dresses gracing the runways this season. I was hoping to add one kind of like this from Alena Goretskaya to my dress but in ivory (pictured below) to my A-line dress with tulle skirt.Do you think it would be too sexy? I’m getting married outside and going for more of a pretty Victorian inspired undergarment sort of look while still maintaining modesty; I’m planning to soften up the boned bustier look with some lace. As a C cup, I’m not trying to look like Pamela Anderson. 🙂
Any help you can offer would be so appreciated! <3

I think it’s beautiful, and the flowy princess efect of the skirt takes away (not in abad way) from the sexy of the bustier

Looks fine to me that bow/flower actually hides enough of the boning. IMO as long as oyu have the modesty panel in the back and not an open corset, you’re good 🙂 Doesn’t look like this one was designed for cleavage anyways, more full cups

I personally wouldn’t want to wear a wedding dress with a bustier top. That’s just my opinion, because I want a different look. It just depends on what your vision is and what you want to look like, but I would feel awkward wearing a bustier/corset wedding dress.

@FrostedLace: i think it will look beautiful ; )

I am not a fan of that look….It looks a little to bra-ish to me. I think it might just be a dress I would need to see on a real bride to say for sure but just based on the model pic I’m not liking the top of it. If you try it on post pics bc it would def help seeing it on a real bride.

I wouldn’t wear it because, personally, I think it looks like the model forgot to put on half the dress over her bra.

I’m not a fan of the look, and I only think certain ladies/circumstances can pull it off.
Maybe I’m a little old fashioned, but I don’t want it to look like my undergarments are showing!

Eh, not a fan either. Even if the picture above, the skirt does distract from the top, but not enough.

@FrostedLace: I think it depends on how large your bust is. Smaller chested girls can pull this look off much better then our large busted gal pals.

I don’t think it’s too sexy, per se, it just looks like underwear to me.

If you like the bustier look but are concerned with it being too sexy you could consider a dress that has a structured top like “Rachel” by Cicada Bridal.

I like the look, but I think it looks best on very small women.

Thank you all so much for your input. Just as reference, I’m 5’5″, 115 lbs and generally on the smaller side of a C cup (sometimes even a B) so as long as I have plenty of coverage from the cups I think it would look romantic vintage and not indecent. Plus lace makes everything better in my opinion! 🙂
I really appreciate all the varied comments and you’ve definitely given me a few things to think about!

I love them with certain dresses. Like this Francois Vedemme dress, sexy bustier with a beautiful lace dress overlay.
