    Haha, I was just thinking about chair covers and how they a) look weird (like, what are they trying to hide under that sheet?!) and b) cost an extorbinant amount of money. So I guess that’s my answer…

    I personally like chair covers. It makes it easier to keep your colors/theme together.

    We are doing black satin tablecloths w/ ivory chaircovers & black sashes for the head tables, & ivory satin tableclothes w/ black chaircovers & ivory sashes for the guest tables. I personally think they are worth it, and they are pretty easy to resell.

    I WOULD notice the chairs if they are crappy or awful looking [folding chairs, are just horrible banquet style chairs.

    So, our guest tables will look like this, except banquet style.

    I hate chair covers.  But I think it depends on how awful the venue chairs are.  They look fine from the picture but maybe they’re horrid in real life, and I guess they could clash.

    We’re not doing chair covers and I think they’re a waste. Nobody remembers your chair covers after the wedding…people sit their butts on them.

    I generally hate chair covers unless the chairs are truly hideous. In that picture you posted, it looks fine! Though I obviously don’t know what they are like closer up.

    @Sunshine1011:  I would cover those!

    Our venue has your typical padded white folding chair, so I wanted those as well.

    I didn’t vote because I don’t necessarily love or hate them.. I think it depends on the venue/chairs/colors. We are not doing chair colors because chairs at the venue match our colors. They are a goldish tan and gold is our accent color so it all goes together and looks great! If you are doing blue and purple, that red chair might clash..Will people notice? ehh probably not.. but you will.

    We arent doing chair covers. We are having an outdoor ceremony/reception. However, for the chairs during the ceremony, the end chairs will have some decoration on the end!

    I think they look great, and I voted that they complete the look rather than look ugly…LOL  But, I am not using them in my wedding simply because we don’t have unlimited funds and I’d rather spend the money elsewhere.  I think one of the things I’m quickly learning in this process is that, unless you have unlimited funds, you have to decide where to splurge and where to save.  I honestly don’t think anyone will notice it if you don’t have them and it will be one less thing for you to worry about!

    To be honest, I’ve been to almost 20 weddings and really can’t remember what the chairs looked like at any of them…even my own. Does that make me a bad bride? Haha.

    Why dont you get a gold or beige sash and tie to the top loop of the chair?  That would help soften the color!
