chiffon is light and airy but still substantial enough for 60 deg weather, unless it’s strapless and it gets windy or something 🙂

Totally acceptable. We’re doing floor length chiffon dresses for our BMs…in January on the East Coast! (it’s indoors, they’ll be plenty warm…except for ten minutes for pictures outside…during which time they have happily said they will deal, because they are the most low maintenance awesome BMs ever, hehe), they all prefered chiffon to the other fabrics, said it was more comfortable and easy to dance in!

@KeSoL84:  Oh sorry!  Well yes I definitely think chiffon (and the dresses you pictured) are formal enough!

here is a quick link I found on google that states chiffon is an acceptable material: http://www.hairfinder.com/fashion/dress-code.htm

I think chiffon is suitable for all seasons if the dresses are long.  I am getting married November 3rd, and the average temperature here at that time of year is low 50s.  My BMs are wearing long crinkle chiffon dresses.  I wouldn’t worry!

I’m in an Ohio wedding on Dec. 15th and we have long strapless chiffon dresses. I figure it’ll cold whenever we’re outside, but I’m not too worried since everything is indoors!

I’m getting married in Houston in November and my BMs are wearing knee-length silk chiffon dresses… It’s Texas! It could be 80 degrees on your wedding day, you never know!
