Keep in mind that while you might have to take it down while your child is at the grabbing-and-pulling stage, you can always put it back up over a toddler or child-sized bed once she’s learned not to pull on it. So it wouldn’t necessarily be a waste, there would just be a period of time you wouldn’t be using it.
