herecomesthebride625:  Definitely do the session! As a wedding photographer I always hear people say “we aren’t really comfortable in front of the camera so we didn’t do them”….that is 100% the reason you SHOULD do them. I include them in all of my packages, because it’s designed as a way for me to get to know my couples – and I want them to get to know me. If they aren’t comfortable, it’s going to show in the photos. I tell everyone at our sessions that the first 10-15 minutes are going to feel stiff/awkward, but as we go on and get to chatting and walking around you get more relaxed. When the wedding day rolls around, they’re already familiar with me. Likewise, I already have an idea of what angles work best for them, how they interact with each other, and what makes them most comfortable. I’m not saying you won’t get great shots on the wedding day, but they are hectic and busy – when my couples have done e-sessions with me we more easily roll into their couple portraits.
