I’ve never been a fan of fake flowers, and will be using real ones.  This is one of my musts for my wedding, to me real flowers look very beautiful, and very much worth the extra money.  If you take care of them they will last longer than your wedding day, you can dry them and keep them as a keepsake as well.  Or give them away to guests in the end rather then throwing them away or having to take care of many flowers after the fact.  Everyone has their own opinion, but go with what YOU want!

I’m going to use fake flowers, I just want them to look pretty and save a tons of money. Although my Future Mother-In-Law will probably want to use real flowers from her garden which is a cheap and lovely blessing so I won’t say no.

I don’t think they are a “no-no” each bride should do what they like and what fits the budget and there are def some real looking fake flowers out there now. but as a personal opinion I don’t like fake flowews. I think real are much prettier. I got a great deal on my flowers because I knew a florist but if I had an even smaller budget I would have bought flowers wholesale and done it myself over fake still I think.

Just my opinion,,,fresh flowers all the way..as some of the other bees stated,, it does not  have to be really large..we go through so much planning a wedding,,the beautiful gown ,,shoes makeup,jewellry,,etc..fresh flowers just finish it all off beautifully. In my opinion fake flowers stand out like a sore thumb and very rarely look professional..when all is said and done when you look back over the pictures ,you always remember the scent and loveliness of fresh flowers,,no comparrison ..I would skimp on something else before giving up on fresh flowers,,talk to a florist (or a few florists) .there is a happy medium for sure,,have a great wedding

@Oribel013690:  Perfect response!  I might just steal that if you don’t mind 🙂

@peachbaby4008:  I prefer artificial flowers for wedding actually.  You don’t need to worry about wilting, last minute stress of putting them together/picking them up/storing them in a cool place, keeping them watered, and you get to keep them forever as a reminder of your day.  Or even resell them if you want.  I’ve also seen people give them away to guests at the end of the wedding too.

ETA: lol I just realized this thread is a year old.  Wonder why it was bumped…
