I love a good French manicure, but some Googleing has me second guessing my fingernail style. Should I go with a pink-nude instead?

Yes, it’s out, but I wouldn’t call it trashy. It’s just not trendy. Pink-nude is always safe, or you could go for something more daring if you’re feeling up for it. I like gray as an easy neutral.
I love American manicures. They’re like French manicures, but with the white tips not being so bright/stark white. Like this:
I think regular French manicures are fine if the tips aren’t super long or too fake-looking (and I tend to think rounded looks better than harshly squared off):
Personally, I’ve never been a fan. I went with a shimmery pale white.
I still love mine. Don’t care if they’re not the trendiest thing right now 🙂
I see French manicures and I think “stripper nails”. Especially on toes. Petition to stop French pedicures in 2015.
I think it looks super classy. The funny thing is when I would check out my photgraphers blog each week she always did shots of the hands/rings and most brides had french manicures. I didnt realize the french manicure was going out of style! lol!
I agree with Gridmonster, I like the more subtle/natural look of the ones she pictured. Very pretty and not outdated at all. Some french manicures are too harsh
I am not a fan and I do think they are tacky especially when the nail is really long or ::shudder:: white acrylics
i agree with an above poster about american manicures or even “ombre french” it’s a less severe look
I prefer a subtle nude, light pink, or even greige (grey-beige), personally.
I’ve never been a fan of them, and I’m glad they seem to be on their way out. It’s a weird illusion, and just very… boring to me. There are so many beautiful polish colors or subtle nail art designs you can do!
*shout out to the best nail polish, Zoya*
