@mousepeach:  I think they’ll be difficult to find, but are certainly gorgeous! Stay the course! You’ll find something. 🙂

I wanted a cap sleeve for my dress – and even that was difficult. When I started, I thought it was going to be easy – I mean, I had TWO criteria: cap sleeves and a covered back. However, it took me ages to find a dress that fulfilled both and at the end I was feeling quite desperate for just about anything that wasn’t strapless!

So, I love the style and I hope you find something similar, but do start to look around asap!

You could also get this effect with a jacket/cover to go over any simple satin gown too!

I wanted sleeves SO bad. Anything on my arms. I don’t like strapless.

But even the biggest bridal store in my area had almost no sleeves gowns. I don’t understand, this isn’t like a new trend??

I’m going to buy a handmade lace jacket on etsy instead. It’s pricey, but it’s something I just feel like I need to feel really comfortable.

Talk to the alterations specialist at the bridal salon.  I hate strapless dresses, so I’ll probably have to get them added.  I talked to the head of alterations at my local salon, and she explained that they keep the scraps from all the dresses they have in stock when they hem, take in, etc.  Adding sleeves & straps is a pretty common request actually, and this way they have the material on hand to show you examples.  If they need more, they can always order it from the manufacturer, but it’s more $.

Provonias has several sheath styles and matching boleros with long sleeves. They are beautiful gowns for the money

I LOVE the long sleeved lace look! I wanted this for my dress at fist, but I’m getting married in August and I live in the South– HOT will be an understatement! I don’t think you should have any problems finding it.. I would just do some online research and hit up the bridal shops near you that carry the designers you’ve researched. Good luck!

I have a Pronovians tulle/lace ball gown– he is AMAZING with lace and tulle gowns; you should research him for the sheath look as well 😉
