I like your names. I think they are very classic names.

I don’t think so at all. In a way, since “unique” names are “in” nowadays, what people think of as boring names are actually becoming the special/unique ones!

And it’s a family name, that carries so much meaning.

I think they are great names and not boring at all especially since they’re family names. ๐Ÿ™‚

Annika is unusual. I would also say that names aren’t boring just classic with lots of meaning. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think they are lovely names. Also those are names that will take a person anywhere in any career its good to name your child something that wont hold them back in the future. Some unique names i think how will they ever be taken seriously as an adult.

I love Elizabeth Jane! My name is Jane, actually. There is this neat little vintage shop in Ellicott City that I love to visit when I’m in the area and it’s called Sweet Elizabeth Jane. I thought the name was really pretty so I went in ๐Ÿ™‚ Beautiful name!

And Henry is such a great name and you never hear any Henry’s nowadays.

No way! They are lovely! Elizabeth is always a great choice as not only does it sound beautiful in it’s full form but there are so many diminutives to choose from. Betty and Nelly are so sweet for when they are little and I’ve always liked Lizzie and Beth too. Henry is great too and you have always got the option of Harry or Hal as established derivatives.

You have so many nick name possibilities with the first. Bess, Beth, Lizzie, Liz, Liza, Janie…

As an aside, I once had a friend say that Elizabeth was the perfect middle name for ANYONE, including men. We would all go around trying out people’s names with Elizabeth in the middle and by god it works!

I love the name Elizabeth. Love Jane as well.  Are they boring? It depends on who you ask of course.

Personally I am not in with all the unique names.  I did that When I was young with my first kids but now I just find trying to find the most unique names out there stupid. But that’s my opinion. I love Elizabeth…that’s wonderful. I would go for it too but I have a few people I dislike in my life with that name…lol. so naming my own child that is out. For anyone else though…it’s awesome.

redpeonies:  I think they are traditional names, not boring. As long as your like the names, thats all that matters. I feel the names we have picked out are very traditional. They aren’t uncommon names.

My moms name is Elizabeth. It’s such a petty name! And my cats name is Henry ๐Ÿ™‚ although I will say it’s gaining popularity, not sure if that matters to you or not?

TheGridMonster Everyone is trying to be “cool” now. It’s refreshing to hear a “normal” name. I swear if I hear Harper or sloane one more time…both are pretty but every kid is gonna have these names now!
