Mine and my fiance’s anniversary is coming up in a few weeks and we were talking about what we both wanted. He gave me a list of a few things – one of those being “nice pajamas.” I originally had a cute idea of getting him cooking classes and some cooking gear (we could take the class together, and he loves to cook), but it was too expensive so I’m trying to find another option. My dad has the athlete recovery pajamas from Under Armour and absolutely loves them, so I thought about getting my fiance a pair for our anniversary. Is this a lame gift? I know he mentioned he wanted pajamas, but I feel like an anniversary gift should be some sappy item or something.

fourthnoel : um, pajamas are literally the best gift to give a person. who doesn’t like to be comfortable?! he will love them, bee. and if anyone says otherwise, you don’t need that kinda negativity in your life.

Definitely NOT a lame gift. He asked for them, you’ll know he’ll absolutely love them. I’ve recieved a nice pair of flannel PJs before from SO and I look forward to breaking them out every winter.

I mean, for me they’d be a lame gift because I don’t wear pajamas, but if he specifically asked for them then I say go for it. He’s already said that he wants them.

I think pajamas are a great gift, and clearly so does your Fi since he specifically asked for them!
But I’m not sure about the “athlete recovery” pajamas. If I asked for “nice pajamas” I’d be thinking of a more traditional set of high quality flannel, and maybe a plush robe or slippers.

fourthnoel : well, I’ll be the one to go against the tide and vote “lame”, simply because we sleep naked and i highly recommend it 😉 if Darling Husband got me pajamas, I’d expect them to be wrapped in divorce papers.

It at all! My favorite PJs are from Natori. Just amazing to sleep in. I think you can often find them at Nordstrom Rack as well. I’ve seen a few men’s PJs and robe, like here:

fourthnoel : the best gift is the one you know the person wants a will really appreciate. I asked for a vacuum for Christmas this year and I’ll be jazzed if he gets it – I don’t need more sappy shit in my life I need some better tools to make my life easier!

Oh yes! As PP mentioned maybe some nice slippers too! If you want to make it sappy maybe you could also do breakfast in bed? Kinda tie it together somehow, comfy pjs & and a yummy breakfast. I think that would be super sweet.

You could make the gift alittle better and be creative! Make a basket with the pajamas, movies, his fav candy, and other items specific to him! Hope this idea helps.

If it’s something he wants, I don’t think it’s lame at all! I’ve had “lame” stuff like kitchen items on my wish lists and was happy to receive them.
PP has a great idea to pair the PJs with something fun/romantic like breakfast or maybe a movie night.

I often buy Darling Husband really nice pyjamas – Calvin Klein, Ted Baker that kind of thing. Sometimes he wears them for lounge wear rather than sleep as they’d be too warm, but he loves them.

MATCHING PYJAMAS!!!! YES!!! I bought this to my SO/us once (from Calvin Klein), it was the perfect gift because he doesnt even wear PJs so I get to use his too! Lol. So big and comfy!

fourthnoel : I love pajamas, cant go wrong with giving them as a gift. I feel like PJ’s are one of those things that people kind of forget to buy for themselves, you don’t really think about them much so they make the perfect gift IMO
