Well, not exactly labeled ‘full figured’, I am on the heavier side. And I am proud of it. I think we all need at least a little meat on us.

I’d say I’m fairly confident. A lot more so than some of my thinner friends, which I find humorous 😀

I’m definitley confident in who I am, and I feel like I have to be more now then ever.  I feel like this wedding is bringing more attention to me and I am facing the questions I hate:   Are you going to lose weight for the wedding?……. no one wants to be a fat bride. or Are you really going to wear your hair like that? or Are you really going to wear a strapless dress?……………Are you going to do something about….blah, blah, blah.  Eventually people  need to realize that it’s not always ok to be outspoken, sometimes its just plain rude!  But I like to think of entertaining these questions as teaching moments and confirming with everyone that I am comfortable and happy with the way I am and that the questions are truly just reflections of the insecurties of those who are asking them.   I must admit I do have my moments, Yes sometimes I may feel like I can’t find anything to wear, or that I should work out more, but at the core of everything I know I am beautiful, intelligent, and someone wants to spend the rest of their life with me, and i think that confidence shines through more times than not.

@thejucheidea:  Thank you!

I’m not full-figured (size 4), but just thought I’d click on this board because my best friend is (size 16), and she is totally confident in who she is. We joke together, because I eat sooo much junk food and she is the total health freak. We love working out together, and I’m honestly envious of how healthy she is and she can totally out run me any day of the week.

Sometimes, looks are deceiving and being little doesn’t mean being healthy. I wish I was as healthy as she is, and I look to her for her positive, amazing, glorious self-confidence.

@PenultimateWhisk:  check yourself. This was an old thread created about ladies who feel good about themselves. They didn’t ask for, or need your judgement. I suggest you find other threads to spread your rude thoughts.

@PenultimateWhisk:  I’m truly mystified as to why you decided to pull this thread back up after three years. Are you truly that body negative and spiteful?

I just purchased a size 14 wedding dress… I KNOW I could lose weight, I know I should, and maybe I will. But I am honestly happy with my body. I hear ya girl!
