- Wedding: July 2013
All along I wanted my bridesmaids to wear a floral patterned dress. I am thinking now, though, that maybe it would be too much. I would like your opinion.
My mother is sewing the bridesmaids dresses from this 50s pattern:
The wedding will have a vintage/old world/rustic feel to it. It will be outside, and is a garden wedding with lots of trees and birdies. On the property is an old victorian home.
This is the fabric I chose for their dresses:
I wanted cotton for them for various reasons. First, my wedding is in the end of July. Second, it will be at the hottest part of the day. Third, it will be outside, and fourth…. well, I want them to be able to wear it again!
My issue came up when I was looking at bouquets. I know which ones I am in love with, but I am just wondering if anyone thinks it’d be just too much flowers, or too overwhelming. I think in my mind it works, but I didn’t want it to look crazy.
Here are the bouquets I am getting my girls:
Do you think this is too much going on? I feel it would work out, but as always, I tend to think a lot before making a desicion!
By the way, their necklaces will be very simple, like a gold chain with a drop pearl, and small pearl stud earrings. I am looking for a feminine, dainty, old feeling, without being fru-fru.
