Hi Bees. There’s a woman in a local store that has the greatest ring stack. They are all these really unique and cool looking bands without stones along with an e-ring, and it got me thinking. I have a cousin who has the same thing going on, which is also similar to some other women I’ve caught glimpses of, like when their hand is on their shopping cart and not moving around. Mostly the most unique stacks I’m seeing seem to be yellow gold, interestingly enough, and they don’t just look like a mishmash of rings thrown together, or a vintage piece that seems out of place with contemporary styles. It makes me wonder if their rings were husband gifts or things they found specifically for the stack, since the rings have style on their own yet compliment the other rings so well without competing.
I have a few bands with stones (anniversary type) over the years but don’t wear them all together because they’d be just a bunch of diamond bands together and it looks a bit much, at least on me. My wedding band also has stones. To me, it seems harder to get an interesting and cohesive look when there are mostly diamond bands involved, or if the e-ring shank has a row of diamonds. At least if the e-ring is a solitaire there is just metal there so breaks up the diamond bands a bit with the metal. I have a couple interesting band-type rings but they don’t look good at all when trying to stack with my current rings. So I just wanted to throw my flow of thoughts out there and see what your take is from your own experiences / what you’ve seen..
