I have an art degree. Art was my passion. I took all sorts of fine art classes including painting, drawing, 2D & 3D design, graphic design, sculpture and printmaking.

Sadly, I haven’t created anything in a very very long time. For a while, I did freelance graphic design and was the graphic designer/sales assistant for a lighting industry rep. Charcoal and conte portraits are my passion and I’ve sold numerous pieces. I haven’t done that in a few years tho either, cos now I’m and x-ray tech and I don’t even have time to wipe my own ass let alone gesso a canvas! Embarassed

Me me!

I’m just about to finish my Graphic Design degree this semester. Thanks to my training, I apply my design skills to any medium I pick up. I am heavily influnced by typography, Swiss Design, and internet culture. I like structure–I practically demand it.

I tend to be a jack of all trades, and I just like too many things to only do one for the rest of my life, lol. If I have the time/space I enjoy painting or drawing still lifes and portraits, but I also love web design and making logos.

I don’t think I’m brave enough to post my work, maybe when I get a real job, haha.

I am an artist, though more of a hobbyist than professional.  I haven’t gone to college for it, though, I should probably take a few courses to help me where I need it.  I freelance, mostly small-time web design and graphic arts.  I love drawing/painting, though, I’m currently trying to get myself completely comfortable with a tablet.

Anyone want to post work? Here’s a portrait of Tim McGraw that someone commissioned. I’m not the greatest by any means, but I figure if I go, then others will too, so we can share ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m a graphic designer/illustrator and have my own company. I love my job but sometimes I miss the days where I did art just for fun.

I won an award for a project I worked on recently so that was pretty neat. I’ve even been hired to do more projects because of the recognition from the award! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll play! I wish I had more time to paint, but I’m one of those who gets paint EVERYWHERE, so it needs to be a project I’m really committed to finishing! These are two of my latest paintings– one is our cat (in oils), and the other was a housewarming gift to my aunt and uncle after they built their beach house (in watercolor)!
