Sansa85 :  Ha ha.. I literally searched for the “the bee you would like to meet” thread when OP mentioned it because I’ve been more active on here than I would like to admit lately and don’t recall that one.  Granted, the search function is atrocious on this site but I am calling bs.

j9marie :

Posting an anonymous thread asking if bees have something to apologize for while pretending it’s not about you feeling wronged is just drama.

The bees mentioned in the other thread aren’t about starting drama and speak up if they feel offended.

OP should come out and say, I feel offended and this is why I’m owed an apology.

Okay. i see what this is about.

I’m sorry I if I shamed anyone about their bewildering love of Cool Ranch Doritos. Just because it is a passion I do not share, doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

My stance on Hot-Pockets remains unchanged.

BalletParker :  Perish the thought! You’d never have to resort to such tactics…

I just went through the entire thread despite having to be up in a few hours to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man…. OOPS.

As for apologies, nah. If you genuinely get offended over something someone said on the internet, you probably shouldn’t be on it. This forum is as mild as forums go. I’ve yet to see any actual name calling. I will say though, recently, with this forum, my biggest peeve is people calling other people “dear”, “sweetie”, “sweetheart” etc. Lady, you don’t know me from Joe Blow, don’t use those endearing terms to condescend, if you’re going to debate or argue a point, do it on facts not on being a condescending little “dearie”.

As for OP, I’m with the consensus, stop fishing for an apology, you’re not about to get one.

(URGH I REALLY SHOULD BE IN BED.)

justasking101 :  Apologies if I’m being obtuse, but are there bees who are so emotionally invested in an internet forum that they can actually be hurt by comments from a bunch of strangers on the internet directed at another stranger on the internet. This is a great place to learn about jewelry and get ideas for flower arrangements and get a gauge for how different people see the world, but I’ve had things said so me on these boards that, had they come from a person in real life by someone I respect, would have landed me in therapy. Anyone with a keyboard can get an account on weddingbee and for all you know, you’re wasting mental energy on a 10-year old boy or a prison inmate. Let it roll off you.

Sometimes I feel badly if something I have posted has clearly triggered someone else.  I’ll then reread my post to ensure I intended what I meant.  But honestly?  No, I do not apologize or think I need to because when I get intense, it’s usually warranted as most of my posts are totally middle of the road and not as thoughtful as what I actually think.  I never get offended if someone targets me or disagrees with my view.  Again.. this site is extremely mild and full of strangers.  Accordingly, it would take a great deal of effort to inspire feelings of self doubt.
