My family makes fish, which completely grosses me out. I’ve actually hung out at FI’s empty apartment some days just to avoid having to smell it :(.

More amusingly, my grandma used to make my mom hot dogs with mashed potatoes baked over top of them. She still talks about how badly it smelled and tasted. Oddly enough, my aunt loves them.

My mom used to make these ground chicken patties with lots and lots of onions in them. Ugh. I hated them as a child.

My stepdad used to make hamburgers but put so much effing Worcestershire sauce in them that it oozed out when you bit the burger. Ughghgg.

Tuna noodle casserole was the bane of my existence as a child, fortunately we’ve evolved out of that.

My dad also used to occasionally make tongue (always with split peas as a side dish), which I didn’t mind, but would always gross out other people.  Try telling the kid next to you in the cafeteria you have a tongue sandwich in your lunchbox…

My fiance’s family eats pigs’ feet & chitlins (pig intestines).  I had never tried chitlins before and was all excited about it last Christmas, but the smell…….Good Lord, how can people eat that shit, literally?  Ugh.

Don’t even get me started on the disgusting things FH eats… deer and deer organs, squirrel, racoon, crocodile, seafood, pickled things… just the most awful things. I can’t stomach it at all. He’ll eat anything and wants to.

“slop-goppy”- brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, onions, pork and beans and hamburger chunks. It’s actually delicious.
