I was just wondering if anyone has experience with purchasing a mori lee wedding gown? I just came from a local store here that carries mori lee. I tried on a dress similar to my dream dress except this one has more bling action to it. The sample wasn’t quite my size (daggone cheeseburgers!) so it was a little snug at the hips and buckles in the middle. I tried tugging at it just a tiny bit to get it down my hips and……RIP!! One of the frickin ruffles came off!!!! That really made me second guess purchasing the dress. The mori lee costs about half the price of my dream dress (San Patrick Eresma) but after tearing off the ruffle I am sad:( Here’s a pic….never mind my facial expression. I was agg! (aggrevated)….

I have Mori Lee 2321. I love it, but hate their sizing. I had to order three sizes larger than my regular size, but the dress itself seems pretty well made.

@nqz100: [email protected]….that
gives me some hope! I’m toying with the decision to spend $700 vs $1200 for a dress that I’ll only be wearing for one day! I’d be horrified if somebody tore a ruffle off trying to help me get into it though. Decisions!!

I have a Mori Lee and I wear a street size 4/6 and I ordered a 6 in my dress – I probably could have gotten away with a 4, but didn’t want to risk it. I have no complaints about the quality, it is very well made.
(I can’t get the picture to flip for some reason… )… (Also, pay no attention to my greasy hair).

that dress is gorgeous on you! Well hopefully I’ll get some more positive feedback. I’m starting to feel much better hearing from real brides:)

I’m a Mori Lee Bride!!!
I also had to order 3 sizes up 🙁 Personally I think my dress is well made. I tried on torn/poor conditioned gowns at Demetrio’s and at DB, they tend to get ratty when there are hundreds of brides trying them on. I’m sure the ruffle ripped due to wear and tear and the fact that it was too small for you and countless other women.

Thanks! On a side note, I wore a Mori Lee bridesmaid dress last year and it was excellent quality… I think I ordered an 8 in that style though. In terms of sizing, just listen to what the people at the salon have to say – they do it for a living.

Im a Mori Lee bride and I am pleased with the quality of my gown. The sizing may be weird–listen to the salon staff. Glad to hear the bm dresses are good quality, since i ordered 5 of those too 🙂
I have heard of VW dresses that are torn upon arrival, so I think it is a little bit of “luck of the draw” as I am sure VW dresses are generally high quality too.

I’m a Mori Lee bride too, style 1615. The dress came in about a month ago and it was very well made, no complaints.

I bought my mori lee dress brand new in a sample sale on ebay. I was very happy with it because I am 6ft tall and the sample was long enough, perfect length in flat shoes which I planned on wearing anyway!
It didnt look exactly the same as the official model shot of it but I like it anyway 🙂
