More of a vent then anything…but my bridemaids dresses are from Alfred Angelo (colors are Mocha with a Cafe sash). My Fiance is completely against wearing white to differentiate so he will have vest and tie in cafe while the groomsmen wear mocha. We have been to 3 different tux places and NOT ONE even has a color close to matching my 2 colors. But of course, they can match any of the David’s Bridal colors. I’m seriously getting majorly bitter. I LOVE my colors and they are gorgeous but I’m afraid the men wont match! We dont want our boys to spend a fortune at some specialty shop but can anyone seriously match my colors??? Am I going to have to break down and go with DB colors that are similar but not what I want??
Thank goodness we haven’t ordered any Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses yet, lol.

You took a color swatch to 3 tux places and they don’t have anything that matches mocha and cafe? Thats really odd. I just went to menswearhouse last weekend and spent alot of time looking at their “earth tones” They have a color called Latte and also many other shades of brown.. The only advantage with having a DB dress is that the colors form DB and Menswearhouse have the same names.. but you should still be able to find a matching color even if your bm dress arent from DB just dont pay attention to the names of the colors

I did got to three and no matches. Everything was too yellow or pink…or wasn’t the right shade (light/dark), I had my swatch against every earth tone they had. I haven’t been to MensWarehouse yet, they are my next stop…it’s just getting frustrating. Maybe I should relax and go with an almost match? I just dont want it to be off when the BMs and GMs stand next to eachother.

I would just go with an almost match. But, I’ll admit that I’m a bit biased, because I’m just not matchy-matchy person. I like things a bit more eclectic.
I think a vest that’s a shade lighter or darker would be lovely.

for vests/ties/cumberbunds/etc in many colors. They also do bridesmaid dresses.
If the link doesn’t work, google “dessy.”
