Most grammar mistakes bother me.
Also I work in a legal environment and a number of people say “affidavid” instead of “affidavit”. Why??

Just because it’s a dialect, doesn’t make it any less stupid sounding.
I hate the word Chunky, it just sounds gross I don’t know why.
Also not a specific word but when people refer to themselves as Mommy and Daddy to their pets. I know lots of people do it and really its fine but I can’t help but roll my eyes when it happens. My pets know my SO by name and are just learning my name because I don’t refer to myself in the third person haha
YOLO
There are tons, but my most hated word is ‘funner’. Not a word…but the more words I read on this thread the more I hate.
I work at a medical office where mammograms are performed. So many women (particularly the ones who are 60+) pronounce it incorrectly and it drives me crazy. They put an extra syllable in it by pronouncing it “mam-me-o-gram” instead of just “mam-o-gram.”
Also, it’s pretty widely accepted/used now, but the word leverage used as a verb still kind of bugs me.
Oh, and does anyone know why so many people respond to “Thank you,” with “YOU welcome,” as opposed to “YOU’RE welcome?”
My absolute killer is “mines,” as in, “that one is yours and this is mines.”
furbaby. sorry, I know a lot of people on here use that one!
Also, misuse of the phrase, “I could care less.”
My bff has an aversion to “lips”
