Im no expert at that kind of stuff… but they DO look sepia to me.  I have noticed that there are different degrees of sepia, from when i just choose sepia like at a photo kiosk, or my computer etc.  I think they look really cute.  If they are too warm for you though maybe you can tinker with the settings???? Im so not good at that kind of stuff, its all trial and error with me!

I don’t know how to fix them, but you’re right, they don’t look Sepia.  The best way to explain it is that it’s like b/w, but the black is brown, and all the white has a slight yellow tint.  When you print real sepia, you use special paper, just like black/white uses paper that will only turn black when exposed to light, sepia paper only turns brownish.

I think what might be throwing you off is the text and number color – which is very gold.  I highly recommend going for a different color text, it’s hard to look at next to the sepia pics.  And maybe toning down the contrast/exposure with the pic on the left – it looks blown out.

Eyedrop for the color of your text.

The background being stark black is a bit overwhelming…

If you want to try some other versions of Sepia look up “Sepia recipe, Photoshop”.

I like the last version best. But I don’t love the text color…what if it was black? That might look good! As is, it’s a bit difficult to read.

This is gonna look great!!

And, I love the ornate gold frame idea.

I like the last one best, too. I’d just print it on a nice ivory paper, instead of printing the ivory. Looking good!!

@californiaraisin:  When I get too deep in a project, the simple answer eludes me too!  Can’t wait to see your finished table numbers!!

I like the last one!

Completely off-subject, maybe put your names on it instead of “Us” unless you have really long names.  Seems a little more personal, and would identify the pictures (since, let’s face it, babies and toddlers don’t scream boy or girl).
