I don’t know how to tag replies, but thank you all for easing my mind. I am so visual and its hard for me to imagine without seeing. An outsiders viewpoint that has no reason to worry about hurting your feelings helps so much.
garnobella – Ya know you are right! I forgot about all the sequin gowns I have seen at a lot of outdoor weddings where it’s not formal at all and it turned out gorgeous.
msmeow13 – Thank you for that clarity. I think it was the thought of 6 girls surrounding me wearing that dress might overwhelm me. Not to mention they are all taller than me. One of them is about 5’8. I plan on telling them they can wear flats if they want lol. But you are right they are different styles and it is hard to overshadow someone in bride attire regardless.
des – I will post them, fingers crossed it all turns out like I imagine. Its so hard doing this alone. Everyone is too busy to help. I am thankful for this board! The date is July 7th so it will be a while but I will remember to post pictures.
izzabella – I was really hoping they could try one on, but i went to two stores and neither had the style in the store. I will make sure to ask them what they think. There were a couple other styles I liked also so they could go with those if they wanted.

I think it seems to fit with the style of your dress. From the pictures it doesn’t read prom to me. But I wonder if your bridesmaid just doesn’t like the style and is trying to figure out a kind way to tell you without straight up saying “I hate it.” The one thing I would try to do is see it in person. I may be pickier than most with detail work but sometimes I find the lace and sparkles can look a bit cheap in person so it’s worth seeing the dress live to make sure it matches your vision.
