My 4 bridesmaids have all been incredible so far, and I want to make sure my gifts to them are sufficient!
I’ll be getting them these robes, each in a different color:
In addition, I’m getting them each an Alex & Ani bangle.
As a thank you for my shower, which I think is a garden tea party (yay!!!), I’ll be getting them each some tea from my favorite loose leaf shop. My MOH, who planned the whole shower, and one bridesmaid who made the invitations, will get an additional tea-related gift!
Is that enough? Should I offer to pay for their mani-pedis also? I don’t have a lot of extra money in the wedding budget, but I want to make sure they feel aprpeciated! I’m not asking them to get their hair and makeup done, although they’re welcome to use my same stylist who charges a very modest fee.
What do you think, bees?

@serajane: I think those are excellent gifts and I personally love my loose tea shop so those gifts would be right up my alley lol! And the robes are awesome and always nice to have around the house 🙂
I think it is enough and you shouldn’t feel obligated to pay for their mani/pedis unless you really just want to OR you are requiring that they get them. Also, as a former bridesmaid many times, it is a nice “gift” to have make up and hair be optional! Where I’m from hair is usually not optional and the bridesmaids pay for it themselves :/

TBH, the robes are more a prop for your photos than a gift for them. The bangle looks cute, but are they all going to wear them? Do they all drink tea?

i think those are great! i have been a bridesmaid many times over and my favorite part is always the heartfelt card, but i would be quite pleased with those robes too. i disagree they are props. they will look cute in a picture, sure, but i have a robe like that and i wear it quite often 🙂

@serajane: I think it would nice if you got your bm’s a little gift that is individual to them.

@ValerieBee03: Thank you! Definitely not requiring mani-pedis either! I want my girls to feel beautiful but they don’t NEED manicures or makeup to look great!
@vorpalette: They all love Alex and Ani, and they love tea, so I thought those were pretty approprioate gifts! Although the robe is a prop that day, I think that all my girls would wear it after the wedding. That’s why I didn’t choose one of the more bridal, satin, monogramed ones!
@bostongirl27: Yes, definitely a heartfelt card!! Very important!
@Soon2BD-CBee: That’s a good point, too! I’ll have to think about that and see if I can add something in that’s personal for each of them!

@serajane: A gift that reflects the individual personality of the bm is always appreciated no matter how small.

I think that sounds great! Maybe instead of getting them all an Alex and Ani you could individualize it more by getting the girls who like necklaces a Dogeared necklace? I LOVE the tea idea… I’m a huge tea fan and think everyone needs some looseleaf in their collection. They make really cute infusers that you could include with the gift too if you want a little something more!

@serajane: if you have extra go enjoy some girls time they will love it and so will you plus it will be fun

@serajane: I think tea is a lovely… Personally I wouldn’t just get loose tea varieties. I would get cute tea bags or coffee if your BM’s are coffee drinkers.

I disagree with Soon2BD-CBee. I think loose tea is a step up from tea bags. If you’re going to get tea, get loose tea. But make sure they have a filter thing for it.

Where are the robes from? I love them!

@serajane: Those gifts are lovely and surely enough!

I think that is more than enough. I would be very appreciative.

@Soon2BD-CBee: Excellent point, I do have one girly who would prefer a tasty special coffee!
@MissKit: I was definitely planning on getting loose tea! If you have a David’s Tea near you (only in Canada, California, New York, Connecticut, Chicago and Boston at this point), I urge you to check it out! I’ll make sure I get them all a tea infuser/strainer too!
@JrzyGurl: They’re from this Etsy shop – http://www.etsy.com/shop/JustCottons Aren’t they so cute?
