the letter is obviously real. what is probably (hopefully) not real, is that a mother wrote it. i’m keeping my fingers crossed it was done by a stupid, juvenile, idiot kid who has not lived enough to know when to shut the hell up.

I have to say it probably is. there are monsters out there. I used to work with a person with a visible disability at a coffee shop. The same customer would come in all the time and loudly call this girl disgusting , tell everyone how gross it is to have ” that thing” working here. She phoned the health and safety board over it. Well after a while I refused to serve her because like I said ” your attitude it disgusting”. The manager of the store kept allowing this old crow in. I see her in the area sometimes. Makes you wonder what happened to them to make them so ugly inside.

I’d also love to introduce this moron to my married, college educated, aspergers brother.

If the letter is real, it is absolutely heartbreaking. People are sick! Makes me feel like there is no hope for humanity!

@EncoreBridetoBe:  the letter I posted on the other thread was posted on FB last week by the restaurant owner and it was very much real. They aren’t the type to do something for publicity or to troll on people. The letter was sent to the actual restaurant and not their home. I didn’t mean to thread jack!! Before she clarified that it didn’t happen in Indiana, I thought it was crazy because that’s where the other letter was from and that’s why I posted it. Not only that but it’s very very possible for people to be ugly and mean…for whatever reason. These were two completely different incidents that showed how cruel people can be.

It’s real.  I have a FB friend who knows the family in question.  Just sickening… that poor family.

There are a lot of messed up people in this world, so it wouldn’t be that far-fetched that another person (adultor kid) could truly feel that way about those with handicaps.

Anything can happen at the drop of a hat. “Normal” children could become “abnormal” children so easily. This is not something to boast. I hope they find the author.

The letter is legit.

I’ve experienced this kind of cruelty firsthand. I’d believe it’s real in a deeply sorrowful heartbeat.

Ugh. Real or not…whoever fixed her fingers to type out this mess deserves a *swift* kick in the ass. Good thing she signed off anonymously because I’m sure plenty parents of children with disabilities would love to give it to her for every mean, awful thing that’s ever been said about their child. Total p.o.s.
