My Rose Gold MK Bradshaw died, and honestly, I wanted a new one anyway. I’m kinda over the rose gold trend, and am gravitating toward yellow gold. I still also love white gold and have several pieces that color, but as my collection grows it will absolutely include more yellow.
I originally wanted a completely yellow gold watch, maybe with a brown leather band like the Coach Delancey. I was worried about a leather band though, because the last one I owned was a Mickey Mouse version in middle school. The band got all funky smelling and warped too. I also like the mesh bands, and Olivia Burton has some really pretty versions. Then I stumbled across the Kate Spade Gramercy Grand on Pinterest, and really loved it. They offer it in two tone which would solve my metal matching dilemma, but is that style super outdated?
What do you ladies prefer? Post pics of your watches too! Bonus points for watch/bracelet stacks!
Pics of a few of faves. Feel free to add your own options below! I’m open to all suggestions. I just know I’ll never take it off so it needs to be an everyday-goes-with-everything-choice.

I got one in.mesh from fh as a gift. It’s very light classy and comfortable.

I don’t think they’re tacky but depends on the design of course. 😊

Two tone not tacky! It’s why rolex’s never go out of style!
I LOVE the kate spade one, and if silver looked good with my skin tone I 100% would add that to my wish list.

I love the leather. I have a Nixon Bullitt which is a bit like the Coach one – with a navy leather strapped, although I’m going to change the strap to tan for my wedding. The leather is great quality and has stayed in great condition.
i had an Olivia burton tan leather and gold before and will day that it was not of great quality. Both the “leather” and the gold metal were cheap covers and faded discoloured after only a year.
ETA: that Kate Spade on is lovely also. Would be a toss up between that and the Coach/Nixon for me!

I think two-tone watches are always gonna be around, and that mesh is trendy right now (not sure if it will stick around or not though)
I personally don’t have a problem mixing metals, and my everyday watch is yellow gold while my wedding set is platinum/white gold.
My watch is yellow gold mesh:

Why don’t you get what you like and not worry about what is trendy or outdated.

bctoquebec : Thank you! My cousin has a mesh band Skagen, and she loves it. Have you had any issues with the band getting wonky? It seems like the mesh would be more delicate and snag or become misshapen.
tduck1 : I absolutely agree. There are a few that I’ve run across that are a definite no-go. I think the KS is pretty classy though.
going2bmrsc : Thanks for the input! And you’re right. Everything I googled about two tone watches was about men’s Rolex’s. Lol!
butternutter : Good to know about the Olivia Burton! Their pieces are so pretty, but if it won’t last then what’s the point? I don’t want something all scratched up and discolored after a short time. I actually saw them comment on their IG that if you’re wearing it daily, they recommend a metal band or a dark leather due to discoloration. I loved the gray band they offer, but it doesn’t sound like a good idea unless I alternate and only wear it on occasion. I’d rather just have one and call it a day. I’m like that with purses too. I buy one and carry it until it wears out then buy a new one. I never ever alternate. I’m a weird one I guess!
farahbee : I love the mixed look too, that’s why I considered just getting a gold one and not overthinking it. My wedding set is white gold and so are a lot of my RHRs, but I wear a lot of yellow gold earrings and necklaces. Yours looks amazing together! Thanks for posting a pic! I’m very visual so this helps a lot.
Anonymous1063 : Well, the whole point of about 90% of the threads on the Bee are asking for advice, opinions and the experiences of others. I like all of them, but wanted to hear what everyone else thinks. I’ve also gotten a lot of advice on how certain brands and materials wear, so it’s not solely about me worrying about “what is trendy and outdated.”

sunburn : Love!!! Definitely not tacky. I’m also wanting a Love bracelet like yours in yellow gold. You’ve got good taste! 😉

I don’t think it’s tacky at all. I wear Rado they are High-Tech Tungsten. I love how they don’t scratch. I just alternate these depending on what I’m wearing. I do hope to add a yellow gold color rado to my collection one day.

Two tone is such a classic look! Go for it!

You know to me, the two tones remind me of watches my dad used to wear when I was a kid, so they seem outdated. However, that’s just my particular association. I still love the Kate Spade one though!

Umm, because she likes to be on trend?

michellelynn9175 : Thank you! I’ve had this watch for years now and I love it. No frills and it goes with all my white gold, yellow gold and even rose gold bracelets and is comfortable to wear. I like the pink and yellow gold Love bracelets too. It was a tough choice. I’d love to get another one but they are insanely expensive.
