    I love the traditions… I’m all for the veil.  Especially if you’re being married in a church.

    I love veils. To me, they provide a very finished, extremely bridal look. To prove that they are still relevant, consider the many wedding shows on TV. Most brides still wear veils, at least during their ceremonies.

    @Britk:  I was married outside, and I still wore a veil — cathedral-length even! ๐Ÿ˜€

    ETA:  AND I wore a blusher. ๐Ÿ™‚

    I always pictured myself with a veil. Not wearing one, for me, isn’t really an option. I don’t think they’re old-fashioned or going out of style.

    Your best bet is to try on all different lengths and styles to find one that you really like. There’s a lot more options than you think there are.

    I just wanted to post a picture of what a friend of mine did with a flower crown. I’m personally wearing a veil but maybe if you show your Fiance he’ll understand better. ๐Ÿ™‚

    sorry for huge pictures ๐Ÿ™

    If it’s important to him and you’re willing to make the compromise go for it. I’m not using a veil because of it’s anti-feminist birth, not style.

    Oh, I think it’ll be okay! I personal love veils… mine will come all the way down to my calves!

    But you could do a very very light veil, not even to the shoulders, and still have the blusher that he could lift.

    Maybe compromise and wear the veil for the ceremony and a flower crown for the pictures?

    I love veils! I wasn’t going to wear one until I tried one on and I felt so bridal and beautiful. It really felt like my  outfit was complete. I love the way they photograph too. It’s one of those things in the wedding world that I don’t think will ever go completely out of style, like wearing some shade of white. =)
