i combined my favor and my escort card– my favor was a floral fan with colors that matched my wedding. I then attached a card and had a sticker with their name and table number and our name and date on it. then people knew it was theirs and we had no left overs.

i bought 300 for $70 from oriental trading. however, i did have about 20 left over…

i too am someone who likes favors.

You don’t need favors. I am sure that no one will notice any difference.

Most of our favors are so that our guests are more comfortable during the wedding. We have parasols and hand fans, because both our ceremony and reception is outside in a garden. We are also doing little boxes of mints, but that is because every wedding that I have been to has had little boxes of some sort of candy.

Lots of weddings don’t have favors.  I was guilted into it by the Wedding Industrial Complex represented by The Knot and Martha Stewart Weddings.  Some o fthe things are so hokey! Who wants coasters with the bride and groom’s picture on it?  I ordered 100 tiny picture frames to put escort carts in.  However, they arrived and looked so cheap (they were only $1.68 each), that I sent them back. I should have left it at that, but I was obsessed, and a week before the wedding I ordered these beautiful handmade chocolates, boxed in my wedding colors.  It cost an additional $360 but people loved them. But woud they be missed if they weren’t there? Absolutely not!
