To me, tomboy always equaled a girl that got rough and tumble and played sports a lot. I am 0% tomboy. But a girly girl was someone that wore all pink, always had perfect hair & nails, and dressed up every day. I’m pretty much a fail at that too. I feel that I may be 100% whimpy artistic boy who occasionally tries to act like a girl and does pretty good at it too, until he stands next to real girls, and then wonders what hes doing wrong.
That really makes me sound like I have some gender issues. Lol. But really, the masculine side of me is too whimpy to even be called masculine. And the feminine side of me never seemed to develop properly, so I always feel like I’m “faking” at being a girl. It’s a sad state I live in.
I will say that in the past few years, I’ve developed more of a girly streak. I have taught myself to sort of walk in heels… and thats a start :p

I am a pretty big girly girl. I practically live in dresses (I think I’ve put shorts on two or three times since May), keep my nails pretty well kept always, and love looking at drooling over shoes. When I was little I had like 20 baby dolls, they all had names and they all slept nice and tucked in with me in bed each night. I bake all the time in my frilly ruffled apron, and love shopping.
However, I love to shoot guns, it takes me less time to get ready that it takes SO (5 minute shower, 4 minutes on makeup, 4 minutes on hair vs his 20 minute shower and 15 minute shave), don’t mind getting dirty, and love me some baseball.
Overall, I’m guessing I’m 88% girly/12% tomboy. I’ve been this way my entire life- I was the 6 year old who scratched her cornea badly while climbing a tree in my ruffle dress and hair bows and the 12 year old who went four wheeling in dresses.

@AllieANT: I like the thought process that must have gone on to get to an 88%/12% ratio lol. So specific! :p

95% girly girl and 5% tom boy 🙂

@AllShookUp: Hahaha I do that all the time! 85% seemed too low but 90% seemed too high! 88% seemed juuuuust right 😛

@AllShookUp: Heels is farther than I’ve gone – Good job!
I hope this board does not discourage you from your true self by some of us labeling ourselves by a %.
Don’t be afraid to be your own you!

I couldn’t be more of a girly girl if I tried… no way in any shape or form a tomboy.

@Mr. Bee: I most identify with being a girly girl. In some ways I can be quite masculine, though… I swear like a sailor, I love hockey (NHL), cars, am very competitive, think I’m tough (I know I’m not though lol but I try to jokingly kick my bf’s ass and fail miserably etc.). I think the girly part outweighs that stuff, though… I’m into perfume and makeup and clothes, I’m afraid of everything… I bat my eyelashes to get what I want, etc.

I am proud of being a girly girl 100%. I love my heels, makeup, and love wearing my dresses and will not leave my house without an outfit on nor will there be a hair out of place.

I am about 50/50 or maybe 60% tomboy and 40% girly. I am in a predominantly male career path (computer engineering), many of my interests are classic male “geek” interests (video games, science fiction movies, anime etc.), and I love repiles and amphibians (snakes and lizards in particular), but I say this while straightening my hair. I enjoy clothes shopping on occasion, own too many pairs of shoes, and I do my hair on a reasonably regular basis. I suck at sports, though, but that’s more of being non-athletic than being girly.

I’m in between. I love looking pretty and getting dressed up but I don’t like heels and I don’t spend more than 15 minutes doing my hair and makeup.
I like some outdoor things, like fishing, but I start to complain if I get eaten up by ants/bugs and if it’s so hot I can’t stop sweating.
I’m a wimp and a scaredy cat so I’m not tough but apparently I “talk like a guy” around my friends.
