One of my current goals has been to increase how much water I drink and decrease sodas and sugary drinks. My average is about 6 glasses per day (around 3 bottles at 16.9 Oz.) While not quite what I want it to be, I’m just not a huge fan. My brother, on the other hand, chugs well over 3 gallons of water a day. Lol.
How much do you drink on a normal day?
And the part you can’t answer on a poll – Do you like it?

no, I hate it! I pretty much make myself….. I said in the poll around 9 glasses, but about 2 glasses of that is while I’m working out, so I don’t have to force myself on that part
Add: lots of ice helps….. and sometimes I use crystal light

I drink about 2 or 3 glasses of tea per day, or I’ll put lemon juice in my water. I don’t drink a lot of water without any flavor.
On the other side of that, I never drink soda and limit the juice I drink to a glass every few days…so I don’t drink too many calories.

I cant get enouuugghhhh water! I am the 16 glasses a day! I feel like I’m always going to the bathroom though.. thats the downside!
I just love it! Dont know what my problem is.

I just started to cut soda out and have lost like 5 lbs but cannot afford it lol. I am trying to be healthy and prepare my teeth for whitening:) I have been drinking ALOT of water now! I feel healthier and my skin is nicer.

@AmeliaBedelia: Good for you on cutting down on the sugary drinks!! That is something really great you can do to improve your health!
What helps me do it is if its cold. Very very cold. And I love the taste of bottled water (even though it gets kind of expensive) so I just buy a filter… but I do like to splurge at Sams/Costco and get a ton for really cheap!

I haven’t been rinking water straight, but I have been making iced herbal tea. Just the tea bags, no added sugar or anything.

All I ever drink is water, so I guess I’m doing well enough.

When I started drinking more water a few years ago I hated it. But then my body adjusted and now I love it. If I don’t have enough I get irritable and have a headache. If I let it slide too long I have trouble focusing and I start shaking a bit. So my body clearly loves the water and I love the taste (not bottled water though. It tastes like nothing and that is boring. I drink filtered tap water here and it is so satisfying).

@teamajax13: no, I hate it! I pretty much make myself… <- EXACTLY! I just don’t love it. When it’s ice cold after a workout, yeah I crave it…but not with dinner. Lol. I make myself get my minimum but still drink 1 soda throughout the day.
@booEXcore: Speaking of bottled tasting different, what are your favorite brands? I can’t stand Dasani even though lots of people seem to swear by it.
@Mrs. Bear Cheese Pie: You and my brother, lol. I’d like to get to that point but I’m not sure I will!
@SillyStacey: Hmm, filtered tap water tastes different? I need to get a filter! I love the water out of my parents’ refrigerator (I realize I sound like a weirdo now) but am not a fan of certain bottled water or regular tap water.

I’m the no water…unless I’m hungover. I’m really going to try and make an effort to drink more though.

i usually drink 2 x 16 oz glasses of tea a day plus 2-3 tall glasses of water, 1 drinkable yogurt and maybe a small can of sierra mist or orange soda as a treat.

I don’t drink a lot of water, maybe 2-3 glasses, but water is pretty much all I drink, so I guess that’s better than drinking a lot of soda?

I stoped drinking coffee and soda about a month ago so I have been drinking a lot more water and tea since then.

Water is my favorite drink. Not so much for the flavor (but it does taste good to me) but more because it’s so refreshing.
