A little lol, I want to do it with Fiance every time I see him pretty much, and I think about it a lot when we aren’t together.

Well for the past 3 days it’s all I’ve been thinking about! haha. We don’t get to “do it” so much because of our crazy work schedules.

I used to be a nympho but that changed a couple of years ago.  And man does my Fiance want that part of me back.  But I don’t think that is going to happen

    Depends on the definition!

I do have a very high sex drive… At least I used to have it before I got pregnant. Pregnancy and breastfeeding killed it all but now that it’s over, I am feeling it again.

I would do it every day if it were for me, but I’ll settle for every two days since it’s more realistic with our schedules and the baby… But in reality, we get to do it about twice a week, and I really find it difficult to wait past every second day.

Does that make me a nympho?

I pretty much am too. My girlfriends tease me because of how much more sexual I am than they are. I just have a really high sex drive. Some of the guys I dated in the past had much lower libidos than me, and it caused problems in our relationship.

I used to be. Stress at work and stress in general has really suppressed it. I try my best but now he has the higher drive.

I would be cautious when casually throwing out the word ‘Nympho’. Doing so belittles the condition and those who actually have nymphomania.

Nymphomania, or Hypersexuality – like sexual addiction – is a medical condition, which can be dehabilitating for people who suffer from it. It can ruin relationships and damage sexual health.

Please be aware of what nymphomania actually means for those who suffer from it, before labelling yourself as having it.

Unless your desire for sex or masturbation is insatiable, sex is impersonal without emotional intimacy and you are unsatisfied with sexual activity, you are not a nymphomaniac.

‘Nympho’ is also a derogatory term, often used to make women feel abnormal about their sex drive. I don’t think that it is fair for the word to be used in conjunction with someone who just happens to have a higher sex drive, but ultimately finds sex satifsying.

The casual use of the word downplays the real emotional hardships and judgement that some women face.

I don’t really like using names like that because it implies anyone with a high sex drive has a sex addiction disorder. That both minimizes the seriousness of a sex addiction disorder and also quasi-pathologizes people with high sex drives.

Obviously, most people with high sex drives don’t have a disorder, but a few of them do.

I think a better way to ask the question is, “how high is your sex drive?” Mine is about average, lately.

ETA: Ah, I basically am agreeing with what Nellop already wrote above me. +1 @Nellop

Agreed. Trust me, if any of you were actually nymphomaniacs, you wouldn’t be proud of it. As someone who has personal experience with sex addiction, it is kind of offensive to use those words or connotations in that manner.
