When I shop for anything, I have a really hard time buying anything that is not of really good quality. I would rather save up for a really great pair of shoes or piece of furniture that to spend a whole lot less on things that won’t last as long. Sometimes I really hate this about myself because it is taking forever to furnish our house, for example, but I just can’t stand buying something to only have it fall apart later. What are your spending habits….do you go for quality or quantity?

Quality, particularly now that i’m out of college. I don’t splurge as often or go shopping “just to go”. I have to want something real bad, and it’s usually more expensive. But hey, it lasts and I make sure I stay away from anything too “trendy”

Quality most of the time. But it really depends on what it is. For things such as t-shirts and flip flops I’m all about quantity. For most other things I want good quality. I have this thing about buying dresses… sigh.

Both. Some things I love to have in good quality (shoes- for foot support, electronics, beauty products), anything I’m counting on lasting for a long time, like cars, appliances, some furniture, etc. I also always get quality toilet paper.
Other things I know can be disposable, like some clothes that may go out of style before they wear out. Maybe I am a quality person because I can’t think of anything else.
Right now I’m still getting a lot of use out of cheap furniture (my Target couch, my thrift store table) while I’m dreaming of having “grown-up” furnture some day.

Quality, sort of.
When we first moved into our house we got a lot of used furniture from craigslist b/c we had roommates and wanted to wait til they left before buying nice stuff. Now we are getting married and our roommate is moving out (um, well, she hasn’t found a place yet, whole other story!) I can’t wait to furnish the house with nice things but i have a really hard time spending that much money so I konw it will be a gradual process. I’m DYING for a new bedroom set, right now it’s a lot of hand-me-downs and ikea crap from college.

I think it really depends…like mary-alice-me I think the same way

I am all about quality. I rather have two purses that cost the same as 20. 🙂

generally quality over quantity.. tho for things that i’m going to only use 1x, it just has to be “good enough” for the job and not the best thing out there.
